It's a deal! I am still waiting for the snow to melt it seemed the weather was getting better and woke up to white fluff both yesterday and today. Right now it's a balmy 21 degrees...

You don't need a machine to polish. It just makes it a little quicker and helps with some of the worst swirlies. You should be fine polishing by hand.

Octane Guy's DVD on 'How to UseThe PC' is a must....very difficult to mess up your paint after watching that DVD.....BUT..... why would you want to do that now anyway?? I wouldn't bother to polish with the PC your brand new baby for a couple years or until it gets too many swirls, or whichever comes first. Just:

dawn wash, clay, shampoo with car shampoo...then dry, then apply wax, preferably some sort of good sealant like Epic or Zaino or klasse...it is really not that daunting a task...really, and do it all with your boyfriend helping...it'll be a bonding experience, sort of like taking care of your baby together

Put in my $100 order @ DP...What Hubby doesn't know won't hurt him!!
I ordered Black Wow, Glide, Epic, Swirl, Hydro, Paradise Skinny's, and One Grand Foam Wax & Polish Applicator. That will get me started anyway!!

So true! My bf did the happy dance when I told him I had to curb my Choo/Manolo/Louboutin spending after purchasing the MINI. The other day he did some quick math on how much I have spend in the three weeks I have had Kirky (driving lights, JCW side skirts, custom vinyl, Prima, etc.) and begged me to go back to designer shoes!

I thought the title of your thread meant that you had three college degrees and couldn't figure out how to wash your car.

Based on the amount of info on these forums, there probably should be a degree offered in automotive finish technology.
