After giving up on trying to get a CooperGear painted gas cap (long story no need to rehash problems), I started to think that a body colored matched cap would look much better then the chrome one on my MCS 06' in DS. I ordered a chrome cap from MINI, had it sand blasted and went about with the paint job.

I ordered the paint from www.expresspaint.com, it was great They offer touch-up paint in pens, traditional touch-up bottle and brush, spray cans and quarts/gallons. The two spray cans I ordered (body color and clear) came within 3 days. The paint was a perfect match, easy to apply with no hint of running or metallic clumping even during the "wet" coat. The clear was the same way as the wet coat. It looks great, so far. Now I am just waiting for the recommended 5 days before I wet sand it and give it a final polish.
