wax buildup on clear bra edge

So I took pictures and noticed that the dealer, yes the dealer not me, must have waxed the car with some crap wax and got it along a few edges on the front of the car. I use blue painters tape on all seams and edges before waxing.

Any tips for removing wax buildup along edges of clear bras?

q-tips.

if that doesn't work, put a dab of the same wax on a MF towel and
run it down the caked wax until it dissolves. then remove it using q-tips.

Or one of these...

Zymol horsehair detailing brush...

Or what I usually do - run along the edge with my fingernail inside a thin microfiber towel - usually works just fine...

is horse hair softer than boar's hair? if not or if the same, i dont
recommend it on paint cause it swirls it. i did my own experiment
under 500w halogen and i could see hazing.

the microfiber edge with fingernail trick works great just as long as
it's lubed with QD and dont go too fast. it generates heat and hazes the finish.

Just got my griots order with the micro fiber towel package

Forgot to order more speed shine

I need to try the towel first as I used q tips last car and ended up somehow pushing the wax under the edge of the clear bra...I can be a bit of a beast

Like OctaneGuy said on an earlier thread - I'm not "brushing" the paint with the brush - I'm holding it at an angle and just brushing along the millimeter or so along the edge of the clearbra - if you can see swirls 1mm wide, you're better than me. Which we know is true, regardless.

I've used q-tips (soaked in alcohol if it's really stubborn), MF wrapped around my fingernail, and the toothbrush trick above. They all work.

If you're paranoid about the toothbrush, wrap it in a MF.

you mean 0.01mm, right? 1mm is HUGE and should pop right up when
you have any kind of light up against it.

i tried the q-tips and alcohol trick but the problem is, it removes wax
at the width of the q-tip. q-tip with QD is better, but q-tip with the
same wax works best..and cuts down the extra step of re-waxing.

dohh! SpeedShine is one of the requirements for the Griot's package. (not to be harsh).

I mean the brush only touches a strip of paint about 1mm wide, running along the edge of the clearbra... so the swirls might be as long as the clearbra edge, but they'll be confined to a space 1mm wide - which even your OCD eyes are NOT gonna see...
