I agree

Griots shipping has always been the same. Expensive and takes forever.

If I ship something from work I could ship black wow for maybe $3 and have it anywhere in the US conus by Tuesday.

Try Richard (OctaneGuy) directly...I think I've read before that he will ship First Class for much less ($3 or 4 I think).

I hope that's right and I didn't just offer something wrong on his behalf If so, he can kick me the next time I see him.

or you could order up some other stuff at the same time so the shipping won't hurt as much.

My wife's company gets fantastic UPS next day air and FedEx rates too- but I can't imagine that anybody in detailing supplies is moving enough next day air packages to get rates anywhere close to that. My office is shipping 30-40 packages a day, and a ground shipment more than three states away is always at least $8.00.

Also, I wouldn't want BlackWow to come in a letter envelope- could get messy

Yes I get spoiled with the big corporate accounts. I am sure we ship 200 packages a day without blinking an eye.

I ordered from auto detailing solutions and added a grit guard (can't believe I lived without one of these) and some microfiber applicators.

With the black wow they give you a applicator and a microfiber towel for $24.95

Shipping for all this was $10

Richard shipped my bottles to me via USPS Priority mail. Way less then 10 bucks, fast delivery and packaged well for no leakage.

I like buying direct from Richard. It's tough to match his after-the-sale service.

Still don't understand why it takes them over a week to get things to Houston

depends on what you buy too. if it's something they drop ship
directly from the manufacturer it will take about 10 days. i bought
the red winking trash can and it took about 1.5wks.

Shipping times depend on your location and the shipper you've chosen. For those in California, FedEx Ground takes one day and so does First Class mail and Priority Mail.

First Class mail for items that weigh less than 1 pound, like my DVD arrive in 1 to 5 days depending on where you are. By USPS Priority Mail the first pound starts at $4.60.

Although I don't charge a handling or materials fee, the box I use including packing materials amounts to about $1.00 for small items and several dollars for larger shipments.

FedEx hits me with a nearly $2 surcharge if I ship a package to you by FedEx Ground but turned out I should have shipped by FedEx Home/Residential.

If I see an order for a California customer choosing FedEx Overnight, I do a price comparison, then call them up and offer to ship by Priority Mail since it arrives in one day as well for often 1/3rd or 1/4th the price. Sometimes, people give me bad email addresses or phone numbers that end up only at voicemails. In that case, nothing I can do but honor the customers wishes.

ADS is a good retailer, so I'm glad you're supporting them, but their highly discounted prices on Meguiar's products makes the most sense when you order a number of items, and then include a bottle of BW. =)

You can also buy BW from MiniMania (California), Way Motorworks (Indiana), DetailersParadise (Colorado), ShowCarDetailing(California) and others as seen at www.black-wow.com

Richard

p.s Thanks Jeffrey C. for the kind words and MLWagner---you're correct--I offer USPS as well as FedEx as options. Thanks!!

Why not go to my store and find out??

www.showcardetailing.com/eshop

Add this to your cart
http://www.showcardetailing.com/esho...sp?id=96&bc=no

Fill out your Shipping Address, and you can choose to see the exact shipping costs.

The shipping weight of a bottle of BW is 11oz, so it'll likely be less than $3 by First Class mail. However, I'm taking a vacation next week, sooo I won't be shipping until I return on the 7th.

Richard
