New Car = Detailing help
The car is in the garage right now and I am trying to figure out what detailing products should be purchased so I can pamper it. I have been looking at the Prima bundles from Detailers Paradise and Detailers Warehouse. I have heard great things about Prima, but I wanted to see if the bundles would be worth the $175 or so.
Zainostore.com http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...ct_Code=Z-TRIP also has a new All-in-one product. You can get the triplet kit for $72.95 plus shipping.

I was (am still) a detailing newbie and a Prima bundle really helped me get started. Plus reading lots of threads in this forum.

The Prima bundles are a great place to start.
I have, obviously a brand spankin new 07 MCS, as well as a 96 Acura integra which can use a good detailing. One bundle, DW, comes with the wax package which is the Cut, Swirl, Finish, Amigo, and Epic. I know I want Epic, but would getting these others be an overkill? Just trying to figure out which bundle to buy:
The Kahuna Pack http://www.detailerswarehouse.com/products3.htm
Paradise Super Bundle http://detailersparadise.com/View.as...20070405181946
Kahuna comes with more for the same price...worth it?

The Kahuna doesn't come with Wizards Black Restorer, and Wheel Shield both of which are great and personally I use the heck out of them. On a new car you shouldn't need Cut and I usually go directly from Swirl to Amigo without using Finish. Even though you DON'T think you need it start saving coins for a Porter Cable polisher, one of the best purchases I've ever made. It makes short work of taking care of your cars.
Personally, I watch out with anything Ken says, He's extreme OCD and we all just humor him.

But I've put the best of the good points in bold.
The Kahuna package comes with the clay bar as well as more waxes, which my acura integra will be more than happy to get in on. Does the Paradise bundle come with more towels though? 2 instead of 1 each? I'm going to be spending over $175 on this so I better get the right one the first time.
As far as the PC...I can't afford all of that at once. Ill do the manual labor for now and when I get a raise I'll look into it.

I don't think octaneguy has any bundles but he does carry Prima and is a lot closer to you as far as shipping. www.showcardetailing.com

Thanks for the heads up---I've talked to Kris via PMs. And yes I do have bundles too! They just aren't online in my shop yet. But I get requests all the time for custom bundles. They should be posted in the next week or so.
But the thing to remember is that you shouldn't select your bundles based on price. It really comes down to what do you need, and that's one thing I can show you in person so you understand which products to use and why.

Yeah I need to order a bundle real soon...since I am going to want to wash the car soon
Richard: I think we decided against any clearbra since it cost so much. We might change our minds again, but for now we will hold off and save up for a little session with you to show us how to detail the car.

A couple more things:
re: Clearbra
One little bit of wisdom that may change your mind, and sort of goes against what I advised--if you don't get clearbra now, you will never be able to do it again.
And what I mean by this is simple. When the car is brand spanking new, if you use clearbra now--it will save the front end from chips, and your car will stay pristine--at the cost of having an orange peely looking from end.
Should you go the route I did, and opt for repainting the front end--cost is about the same--you will have to wait 30 to 60 days for the paint to cure before doing the clearbra. So unless the MINI is garaged during that time, you will have a couple months worth of rock chips, before you can protect it with the clearbra!
But for my Jet Black, I love the seamless look of not having clearbra.
re: Saving up for detail session
You do have options.
1.) Attend a Saturday garage clinic--cost is a food item but personal attention is limited due to the class size.
2.) Purchase any products from me, and I'll show you how to use them--this is available anytime that I'm open--5 or 6 days a week.
3.) Hire me to do a detail at the MINI rate of $250 and we'll do a one on one class session that will last approx 8 to 10 hours.

Accursed California! Why must you be so far away? OctaneGuy you need to do a bus tour of the US so the rest of us poor schlubs can learn from your wisdoms.
oh man now i am rethinking the clearbra! dang. If I do get a clearbra what is the opinion on the full bonnet or just the first 18" or 24"? The full bonnet at Ultimate Shield in LA is $300 more. But this will be without the line across the font end. Worth it? And it we decide to get it done, Richard, do you have references for a good place in So Cal. I have heard Aerotect and Ultimate Shield...

For a new MCS and a 96 acura integra (mostly going to detail the mini) what prima products are a must? Are the cut, swirl, amigo, finish needed? A list of must haves is what I am looking for I guess and then I can get a custom bundle from OctaneGuy and maybe even pick it up this Saturday since I'm going up to LA for a race.
In my humblest of newbie opinions (I've recently been where you are) I would say the DTP starter bundle plus something for black exterior trim, 303 Aerospace for interior trim, and a good mitt and 5 gallon bucket(s). Plus either Clarity or Stoners for glass. Tire rubber is a toss-up.
The starter bundle is nice in that it also gives you an introduction to the various microfibers. The waffle weave drier is a must-have!

Before I get my bundle what should I use to get off any bird poop or other misc? My gf used some goo gone stuff (which I squirmed when she said that) on the bird poo...so I wanted to get some interim suggestions.
