The car was taken to Brecht service and my girlfriend told them not to wash and they said no prob and that they "understand." This must mean they know who washes it and how.

Now I need to find a day after work to wash the car for the first time. I have to get two five gallon buckets and.... some instruction. Obviously I have washed my Acura Integra many times but with no special care at all. Any must do advice to not hurt the car's paint at all. I have the bundle from Richard (with only one dirt guard unfortunately). Whatever care needs to be taken I will do it.... my first new car is going to get extra special treatment.

With only one Dirt Guard you will want it in your rinse bucket. I love my Dirt Guards - they filter a lot finer than my Grit guards. If you need buckets, Lowe's or Home Depot have the 5 gallon size (take your Dirt Guard as others have said some buckets are too big). Get a laundry detergent measuring cup and wash it our real well and use it for measuring out your Mystique. I use 2.5 oz for about 4.5 gallons. Finally, when washing keep your mitt above the trim. Use a second mitt or a sponge or rag for the trim and wheels. I have a lambs wool mitt for the paint and a microfiber mitt for wheels & trim. Oh and use warm water - more pleasant and effective.
