Thanks for the good advice Heather.. I guess that the clear was good enough to handle it once, but it may not like it if I were to do it again..

(..as I put my yellow pad deep into the back of the polishing pad drawer)

Unfortunately I don't have a PC, so I guess I'll have to do it by hand with the Paradise Skinnies I bought. I guess I can always wait for another special that DP will have and then order a PC, but I don't think my parents would be happy with that . So for now I should just use amigo, or is it possible to use swirl by hand to the same as a PC?

Yes, you can use Swirl by hand, it will just take longer and more elbow grease.

Chan, you can swing by my place one weekend and we can detail your car. I basically have everything you will need. let's talk about on the next coffee meet.

That would be sweet. We definitely should talk on the next meet, when PortMCS returns from his vacation.

arrrrr... i was going to polish my legacy today but due to construction
behind my house (huge open space, park district is putting in a new
tennis court, basket ball court, and small rec center) the wind picks
up too much sand and dust.

yah, im not going to park my G/MCS outside just to polish my beater. lol
i guess ill need to wait until later on this Fall or perhaps push it out
until Spring. oh well.

minimk3 has your solution!

Although Swirl can be used by hand, it is very arm-tiring! Also, there is no way a human arm can do what the PC can do so the PC will yield MUCH better results.

I'd take minimk3 up on the invitation. You'll be much happier!

Ahhh yes I recall distinctly how much elbow grease I needed to even get a half way decent look out of my old SLK. Heheh damn my arms were sore the next day! Thankfully I got a PC for my MINI
