Home brew quick detail spray?

Has anyone ever experimented with a home brew quick detail spray? If so what was the concoction and how well did it work?

the closest thing i made was a spray bottle of distilled water.

it's not so easy cause you dont want soap...but you dont want wax
either cause it will smear. has to be something that has lifing capabilities,
does not smear, and dries to a shine. hummmm...

What would be the purpose?? To save money? If you want the most bang for your buck, buy some Meguiar's Last Touch in a gallon jug for $17.65 (my price) and consider that you dilute this with water 50/50, so it's really 2 gallons of product or $8.82 for a gallon of QD. But it's no where near as nice or as glossy as Slick!

The purpose was really to see what possible house hold products could be mixed to give a quick detail like solution.

I have slick and love it (though running low and need to get a gallon). I have also tried Meguiars Quik Detail which works pretty good as well. It does not make the paint feel anywhere near as nice as Slick but its also less than half the cost and I do not feel as bad using it librally on the paint.

Since I am running low on Slick I have been buying Quik Detail for $4 at pepboys and use it daily. It seems to compliment my NXT wax very nicely.

How does Last Touch compare to Quik Detailer?

Why don't you experiment with some home brews on your paint job & let us know how it comes out? One oops to save $10 &...
errrr how much would a new paint job run

Last Touch is about the same as Quik Detailer, just smells like coconuts, and comes in gallons.

I also use last touch when I want to save my prima slick. It also works well as clay-lube.
