I saw it advertised on tv and wondered if anyone ever used it or does use it on a regular basis.
Thoughts....comments....concerns?
TIA!

yeah I think it sucks. I end up getting waterspots unless it is the first time I ever use the filter.....and that is only if i don't look hard. I may have differant water....god knows the water sucks where I live...but still....
Also, pressure sucks and the soap is nasty....
but hey, if you find a coupon sometimes you can get them really cheap and it is worth a try!

I've been using the Mr. Clean AutoDry for years now.
If you are not one to wax your car or go crazy detailing it and would like a nice, quick wash, it is an excellent product. With the Auto Dry in one hand and a wash mitt in the other--no need for a bucket-- a mini can be washed in just over five minutes! And unless your air is dusty or your water extremely hard, you don't even have to bother drying it.
Because the soap includes a little bit of short-lifespan wax, it interfered with my good wax so I stopped using it for washing. But at the end of washing my car, I always connect my auto dry and coat it with the filtered water to allow it to air dry, or at least worry less about hidden water drops making marks later on. Of course, there are professional filter products that cost several hundred dollars that do this as well.
Either way, it works as advertised and is a great product. I still recommend it to people who don't want to spend much time washing their car.

I used it for awhile & really liked it. I never once towel dried my MINI & I never had water spots. It was especially great in the cold winter weather. But after the **** freaks from Detailing 101 got me to cross over to the dark side, I came to the conclusion that the soap wasn't lubricating enough & I was putting scratches in my clearcoat so I stopped using it

I may be in the minority here, but have been using it for a few years and am very happy with it. Perhaps it's the water here FL compared to CA, but the car dries spot-free for the most part.
The only exeptions on the Mini being the chrome trim and any place where runoff water collects and puddles. I usually just dry these areas manually with a chamois, but it's must faster than doing the whole car.
One word of caution, the first time I used it on my wife's car (before she had her Mini) the car was so dirty that the auto-dry soap soiled the sponge..I guess it traps the dirt in there. I wound up throwing the sponge away it was so bad. This is no longer a problem as the new Mini is never allowed to get that dirty.

I wasn't really interested in getting it for the soap, I really just want it as a final rinse. That being said I think it sounds like most of you have had good experience with it. Thanks for all the input!!
I used it on my previous car and my wife's suv but wouldn't want to on my Mini. My biggest problem with it was that our water was so hard I could get one maybe two washes before I had to change the filter so it ended up being pretty expensive.
I use it, but only for the water filtering aspect. Our water is really REALLY hard and the AutoDry does a good job of at least keeping it from spotting before I can get the car dried off.
