yep. very easy. you dont even need to remove anything except a kick panel on the driver side.

Same here - very easy to do... it only gets a little bit more complicated if you have the factory Nav. Other than that, it's plug and play on the back of the radio!

Dude, if you have skinny enough arms, you dont have to remove anything. I did it by just reaching up behind the dash. I mounted the jack under the toggle panel.

Like they said....it's easy to DIY in about 30 minutes including drilling a mounting hole for the jack.

Help. Forgot to mention. I have an early 06 with Factory NAV

Anyone ever install the AUX input cable on a car with factory Nav?

Not even, I have fat arms, and was able to wiggle my arm in and plug it in without pulling the kick panel, super easy install.


But since you have Nav...I think Sherwin (bluminiboy) has installed it on a Nav'd MINI.

I installed it on my 05 MCSa when I had it with Nav. It's a bit more involved. You have to break up the block of wires and reconnect. There is a great Write-up by Greatbear around here somewhere.
