Let's see... All 3 cars are detailed... 60 sets of driving instructions in VT Orange are printed and ready to go... Gina (Javagirl) knows the route (I hope)... She will lead the MINIs and I will lead the Porsches... We should have a GREAT time... Don't forget that after lunch I'll be taking a few on a shortened June 3rd Scenic Maryland Drive... So feel free to join in if you didn't get enough driving!!!

Gina and I are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning...

Nope, no wheels yet. The IRS and state of VA decided they needed the money for thier coffers!

I'll pack my little laptop in the MINI to transfer SRF files...

Thanks to everyone for making this such a successful event... Just shy of 100 cars showed and 45 cars went on the drive to Roy's Place... After lunch I took a spirited group that hadn't had enough on 1/2 the "Scenic Maryland Civil War Trail/Covered Bridge Tour".... We put a total of 138 miles on for the day... You could not have asked for better weather...

Again, I'd like to thank all that brought their cars to this event... It was great to see old friends and meet new ones... There were some beautiful cars...

See you at the next event... I've been asked to put one on in May... I'll keep everyone posted...

The JCW would have broke 60mph if people would have kept up That was my car and my son was driving it - trust me he was chomping at the bit to go faster. He usually does the porsche runs with us in the mini and not only keeps up with us he also pulls away. Mini's ROCK! Hope to see you on the June 3rd run - you can be behind the JCW and you guys can pull along the rest.

hey all. the run today was great. I had a blast. Yeah, it would have been nice if we went faster but I was the lead mini and I had to them all in line and not lose anyone. But next time, we will put the slow pokes last.

The Porsche group broke away it seems... Some have mentioned a couple of speeds they hit but I wouldn't know anything about that

The afternoon run was nothing short of spectacular as you will see in the phtos! This is just a sampling of what the June 3rd Scenic Maryland Covered Bridge Tour will be like... Let's make it our best tour yet!

So before the drive I'll hand them out - look for the yellow mini and a turkey headed chick :0)
I believe, them Techies call that 'turkey' a 'Hokie'

[QUIt was a fun trip. I actually chose to run 'rally style', driving and navigating by myself. I passed Ken and the group and stayed ahead the whole trip. Imagine my surprise when I caught up to some p-cars! Apparently, they got lost, bypassed a chunk of the route I was on, and popped in ahead. And yes, they were going very, very fast. I forget sometimes just how fast 911s are!

You rock girl! I just have to say that it was great having you join us for the second run after lunch. You did great haning with the P-cars. I think you stunned them. Many of them have posted on their site(s) that the Mini's (and their owners) were fun and they were glad they were there. Can't wait until June 3rd for our Mini run. Thanks again for joining the fun!

I would not recommend putting the "slow pokes" in the back, because all that will do is cause the group to get separated and not catch up! The fastest people should be in the back, because what inevitably happens is that separation occurs at traffic lights, turns and stop signs... and the "fast" people can then catch up to the group much easier.

Looks like it was a fun drive... I would have loved to have gone if I wasn't already driving the "ultimate" twisty road that day.

I wish I could stay longer. Duty called, so I only had 10 minutes cruisin' with you all.
But I did show up, didn't I?

Here are some of the pictures on the day.

Thanks to bull30 and family for an awesome job organized the run. I'm looking forward to join the next run.
Watch'out Porsche, "Maxi" is coming.

Maxi - thank you for coming. We're sorry you couldn't do the entire run. Thank you for the pics too - they're great.

See you next time

You're welcome to join the P-Cars again on May 20th... I'm running the Civil War Trail Tour (which you did some of) for the Porsches... If you're not going to the Jefferson 500, here's something to do! Here's a link to the information: http://www.dorkiphus.net/porsche/showthread.php?t=13604

I'm not sure about that ultimate twisty thing... If you're going on June 3rd, you'll be exhausted at the end of the run and Michael Road is not for the faint of heart We're talking a 120 mile run with very challenging roads!

I'm sure the Dragon is a blast but there are some absolutely incredible hidden gems here in Maryland and most I find are not on the GPS...
