Well I guess I'll wait until I hear back from him before going off like a mad man.. Haven't heard back anything since I dropped off my car this morning.

Hi VoiD, he's my SA as well. I was specifically directed to him by other DCMM'ers and my MA and have not been dissapointed. Hope you get everything taken care of soon!

Mike Comments

If you are talking about Mike C., I cannot say enough good things about him.
Long story short: Last month, I brought my car in for a series of upgrades, followed by a second trip to MoS for a rough idle problem.
The upgrade was an ECU program in conjunction with the JCW injectors I installed. The problem I brought my car it in for was self-inflicted (ie - I worked on my car and accidently screwed up something else along the way, causing another problem). The shop found the problem, Mike called me promptly (knowing that I do my own work) to let me know what the problem was. I let him know I planned to repair it myself. He in turn, got the part for me and left it in my car so that I had it when I picked the car up. He called me up just before pickup to let me know he had done so. There is nothing I like better than an SA that understands what I am doing with regards to mods and my own maintenance and anticipating my needs. I have had three other SAs in the three years ththat I have owned my car, which has made numerous trips to MoS. I have always been treated promptly by all the SAs, but Mike does stand out for me....

little known fact

Service advisors work 8 hours a day. The service department operates for 20 hours a day. I bet you didn't have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment I am confident you will hear from him in the morning unless they bump your car to work on mine

Mike C has been excellent for me as well. Very good at returning calls. When there was a question of if my top would take one day or two to do, I told him I leave work at 4 pm sharp and head in the opposite direction of Sterling. I said whatever you do don't call me at 4:30 to say it's ready.

He made sure to call me ahead early enough to plan my day. Returned my call promptly. My visit was perfect.

I had a feeling I wasn't the only one who has been extremely impressed with his level of service...

Oh well not so good with me so far.. :(

I left three messages + numerous calls without leaving message trying to find out what was going on with my car yesterday but turns out he had a family emergency and had to leave early..
Okay.. that is understandable. but still not acceptable, since I think he should have had someone else take over and at least have someone call me..

Anyways, he calls me today morning saying the car is done..
I call him later saying I can't pick up the car right now because I have to goto work. (I had yesterday off just to get this thing done by the way.)
So I ask what is the latest time I could pick up the car(as in what time do they close)
He asks what time I took the loaner. I got the loaner car at 10am so he tells me I had to return it by 12pm latest or pay out of my pocket for the extra day.
So I tell him how am i suppose to return it by 12pm if I had to goto work. Also how am I suppose to know the car was going to be done if he had never called me until this morning. If he had called me yesterday and let me know the car would have been done this morning, I would have schedule my time to pick it up. and I'm not paying for the extra day of loaner.

Now he starts arguing that he said the car was "most likely" going to be done by today morning.. what I remember is him saying it takes a long time, 3-4 hours just to take off the dash, so I should take a loaner and go home(I was going to wait at the dealer cause I hate their loaners).

Anyways I had to stop this nonsense, and told him I'm not arguing with him anymore, what time do they close and hang up.

That is unacceptable. They know damn well most people have to work. I haven't even got my car yet and I am really beginning to worry about this dealership.

I know this is somewhat off-topic, but if someone has a relationship with the SA, maybe they can get a straight answer: My MA says mudflaps are about $500 installed because the bumper has to be removed on the 2007. MINI says they can't address technical matters (????????). The pics I have seen all show the flaps go over, not under, the bumper. So, what is the story and on what does MoS base this outrageous claim on??
