With the mild weather this weekend I'm going to be working on my multi camera mount rig for the MINI (Video & 35mm). Since the car was in the shop I didn't get to do it last year.

I'd like to hook up with another convertible motorer, someone else who's going down early in the week too. In addition to shooting forward while driving the Dragon, I think it'd be great to get some video with the rig aimed back to the following car. So, I'd like to team up with someone with another convertible. We'd do video and stills of you following me, and then put the cameras on your car so I could get shots of mine. This setup is wholly dependant on the top being down and having the roll bars hoops to mount to.

Ideally this would be someone enthused enough about the project to be willing to spend a few hours one day early in the week at the Dragon. And better yet willing to get together once before hand up here in DCMM country for some final testing.

I'll of course shoot other folks too, and give a heads up shortly before the Dragon to offer to do some shots of other folks cars. But this early out I'm just sounding out someone with interest in being another camera car.

I've got a busy 2 weeks before the Dragon, so I've really only got 6 weeks to do up the mounts, controls, and shoot lots of test stuff.

Dragon will be here before we know it!

I'd be interested in doing it and I could come down to VA to practice but... I'm doing the Helix Ralley to the Dragon, so I'll only get there on Thursday right before the opening dinner. Still let me know. Michael

 

Nope, 'cause I prefer to find a local that I can get together with here before hand to try out things with well before hand.
