I was dissapointed in the sounds from the car (or lack of sounds.) It was very quiet. If I bought one the first thing I would do is change the exhaust....
Huh... I kinda thought that it had a very nice sound to it. Of course, I noticed it a lot more when I was *ahem* 'driving spiritedly' down Waxpool Rd with the windows down!
That's what I was told... as I understand it, the GP was parked outside, and the installer had gotten well into it before someone at the dealership saw him and asked him what he was doing.
I wish I had known this before I could have parked my GP @ MoS parking lot and get a clear bra installed

I also drove "spiritedly" Paul although for the most part I kept the windows up. Perhaps it is because I have an aftermarket exhaust on my 02. But all in all I found the car too quiet. This is partly due to the exhaust and alot due to the engine itself. I plan for some additional test drives and will be sure to roll the windows down

I finally test drove the same yellow R56 today at MINI of Sterling. Since I already posted my thoughts in another thread, I'll link to that instead of regurgitating it here...
And another thing -and I wonder if any other owners feel this way after having test driven the 2007. I suddenly notice that my speedo seems very small!!!
