Flat caps are the best. I have a couple and but I think the tweed is one of the best looking patterns.

Congrats on the new car. No shame in stalling every once in a while. Better to stall than to burn up a clutch.

By the way I think that you picked the best colour combo.

Gratz on the new toys Paul!

BRG is an awesome color! If I couldn't get Jet Black, BRG is the next best choice... And seeing as how you had a Jet Black as well, you obviously agree. My first camaro was the same green, and the second was flat black. I guess that means my Clubman will be BRG, eh?

Gratz again! Hope to see you at one of the upcoming events!

Congrats Paul! Welcome to the JCW clan of overpriced crap that works well. :-) Glad I could give a bit of clutch fluid for your manual shift motoring training.

Names - howabout TWEED? (close to WEED, which is green... like herb uhm... )

It useful until we (mischievous club people) find some BRG tape or something and cover the sensors so they always go off...

Ahh, you youngsters... The Green Hornet must be a BLACK car, limo tint and green headlights. You must also have a garage with a floor that clamps the car then flips over to reveal your 'non super hero' car. Oh, and your garage door has to be a billboard of a couple kissing that spits in the midde for access. Hmm. Perhaps I'm getting caried away...

Oops, wait. It's my senility not the 'youngsters. He was the Green Hornet, the car was 'Black Beauty'. Never mind

We'd have the WagnBat and the Green Hornet, that'd be cool. Then we need a 'SuperMini' with a big 'S' on the hood. What else. Hmmm. A SpiderMini with the spider web graphics all over it... Sorry, I'll shut up and stop hijacking.

Wow!....I will be looking for you around town. Don't forget to wave at the checkmate.

When I was considering BRG/B, one name I had come up with was "'Zilla" (short for Godzilla). Or you could go with "Gojira"

And revisiting the tire issue, let me know how yours hold up. I'm having a rough time keeping air in two of my euphorias.

I also thought of that name, but I'd prefer "Flatcap"

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll keep an eye on them. I did end up getting the tire and wheel warranty when I bought my new one, so everything with the exception of curbing (including potholes, frost heaves, steel plates, etc.) the wheels should be covered for the next 5 years. I wasn't going to get the coverage, but when I saw the price of an individual wheel and tire, !!!! So with DC metro area roads, especially in the winter, I think it was money well spent!

If you think those tires are going to last 5 years you must be living in some sort of dream world. Unless it's a generic tire coverage thing so it'll cover any tires you have on for 5 years.

I think Paul is referring that that road hazard coverage. If you buy it, the dealer will replace the tire when you get a nail in it or the tire is otherwise unusable before the tread is gone.

That was something I turned down. Mostly because I was looking forward to replacing the run flats, just not at 3k miles with bead leaks (my other posts in other threads go into detail).

Yeh, and while the silver top is certainly nice, don't you think Tweed would look even nicer?

Tires - no. If they last more than 20k I'd be impressed. I plan on the wheels lasting a bit longer than that though!

What sold me on the warranty is the fact that it covers any wheel damage done by potholes and the like. And a a bunch of DCMMers can attest to, it's a very likely possibity that I'll hose up one of the tires sometime in the future.
