Scheduling Surprise

So I called MOS on Monday to make an appointment for a few weeks from now and the guy I talked to was like "Well, we have tomorrow, Wednesday, or Thursday open. Which day would you like?" Whoa!!! This quick!! Everytime I've called MOS it was AT LEAST 2-3 weeks for an appointment. Not being prepared for an appointment this early I went ahead and scheduled it for next Wednesday to get the 25k mile deal done and have them look at some weird noise that I've been getting. Did they finally open the new service area that's been talked about or did I just get very lucky?

With the night shift tech team, and the hiring of Mike Creason, there's been a big push to catch up the backlog... when I spoke with Mike a week ago, he said they were about a week behind and still catching up. It's nice to see they've been able to do it now!

My two recent visits were scheduled about 3 days out. And I hadn't asked for a rush or been in a hurry. And while I posted a thread, let me repeat here Mike Creason did great by me. Exceelent communications and service.

Online scheduling

Since I'm not in a hurry, I thought I'd submit an appointment request online. That was 3 days ago and I haven't received or email or phone call follow up and I've been too busy to place a call to them.

Has anyone else had a problem getting them to schedule you using the form on their website?

Appt request? I don't know if they use the same one as Tate MINI but Tate's actually lets you schedule a appt right on the site. Not request a appt.

Hmm - Mike's predecessor (David Rockwell) was very good about checking the online appointment requests... perhaps Mike is not fully aware of it or has not made it part of his daily routine. I recommend calling him. He has been quite good about checking voicemail and calling back... something that David had problems with sometimes.

MoS's site is different, it lets you "request" an appointment, with comments... and MoS is supposed to get back to you to finalize details and confirm a date. That's really neat that Tate lets you actually fully schedule it online.
