15% Pulley Benefit?
15% Pulley Benefit?
Hello All,
I have a question for anyone more informed than I am (pretty much anyone). I have a MCS with an Ultrik cone filter intake as my only enginre mod to date. I am considering having a 15% reduction supercharger pulley installed. I have heard possible horsepower gains of up to 20. The question is will the power increase be realized without an ECU remap (which I don't plan on doing at this time). I know some of yu have installed the pulley...how is it and did you remap at the same time?
Thanks for your input...

You will get an immediate increase from just the addition of the pulley alone, due to the supercharger spinning more quickly and thus increasing boost pressure. I certainly recommend a re-map for the further performance increase, but it isn't necessary to do it at the same time as the pulley.
Being in Ellicott City please call John of Lucky dog Garage

He is great and will be happy to help explain the pullie's benefits and install for cheap.
But a quick run-down:
1. More power from a start
2. Less noticable drag from the A/C
3. More power accross the powerband.
