I'm not sure Katie, but I think the gang left around 8... They must've cleaned up the parkway fast! I went up to Oldtown around 9:30 ish and the parkway was clear then.
Sorry it took so long to post this.. Busy week!!! And having WAY too much fun motoring. (Break in period should be done very soon)
Here are some pics from the BBQ. Thanks to everyone for their help with the installs. Paul!, the switch looks even better than the dealer did.. I am VERY happy with the final results!
Had a great time, and the evening in Oldtown was a blast! Got to love live music, good beer, and great company!

I wish I coulda made it, but I had to work Saturday.
It looks like everyone had a great time crawling around your car and wrenching and torquing nuts and bolts....
The switch turns the DPSM (Digital Power Sound Modul) on and off. (Why you'd want it off is beyond me!
)
When MoT installed the DPSM switch, they used epoxy to glue the switch onto the kick panel under the steering wheel. To put it simply, it looked sloppy. Well, when I was putting in the Euro Parcel Shelf and I tried to take the switch out of the kick panel, since it was glued in, it wouldn't budge. I tried to break the seal for a bit with a razor blade, but no luck. After messing with it for a bit, I accidentally broke the wires off of the switch!
Oops! Luckily, it was just a simple contact switch. So a quick ride to Radio Shack, and we found a nearly identical switch. I drilled a hole through the parcel shelf, attached some quick disconnect terminals onto the wires, and a new switch was installed!
Since I didn't use any glue, in my opinion (and Sally's
) the final result looked much better.
Oh, and I guess I should thank Sally for trusting me to tear into her 1 week old MINI to install the shelf & AUX cable, and *not* panicking when I let out an 'oops' and ripped the wires off of the switch! As Katie said 'Not in my 1 week old MINI!'
(And I don't know if I'd trust me if *I* had a 1 week old MINI!
)
Edit: Scavenger, the switch was installed on the back wall of the parcel shelf, right above the little 'bump' on the left side.
