[Sat, Oct 7] MINIs Hit the Hills - Cumberland MD
Jeremy,
Sometimes things change all the way up until the drive (and I think that there was even some occasions where the route changed after the run started!
)
It all ends up working out in the end though! Best thing to do is to just keep an eye on the thread, and you won't miss out.
-Paul!

Here's the approximate travel time and distance for each leg -
11:00am
Leg 1 - Cumb Airport to Jennings Randolph Lake - 45 miles (1 hr, 15 mins).
Leg 2 - JRLake to Grantsville - 30 miles (1 hr).
Eat lunch at Penn Alps in Grantsville (1 hr , plus/minus).
Leg 3 - Grantsville to Shanksville - 35 miles (1 hr)
Visit Flight 93 site (1/2 hr, plus/minus).
Leg 4 - Shanksville to Cumberland - 37 miles (1 hr, 15 mins).
I believe we should probably arrive at Penn Alps between 1:30 - 2:00 pm for lunch.
Should finish the entire run and arrive back in Cumberland between 5:00pm and 6:00 pm.
Each leg is between 30 and 45 miles long.
ssallykat, you could drive on to your grandparents when we stop in Grantsville, visit them and still meet us at the Flight 93 site ?

OR!! We could all visit your Grandparents.....Grandparents love visitors!!
Just kidding, I'm sure they would not want that many people dropping by.
Not that I'm actually going to be able to be there, I'm trying though.

I'll post more info on gas stations before long. Prices today for premium are $2.69 to $2.89.

Maybe she will update the first post with a list.
Right now I only have four (yes four) RSVP for this route. RSVP instructions are to my e mail address. Much easier than having to read this entire thread every day to catch ( and probably miss) new RSVP. From reading the thread, it sounds like at least 10 are RSVP'd right now - but in terms of formal RSVP with a head count I have:
Sue and Byron
Stacey and Jay
Poolers
Suits
That's it folks! Once I get some, I will add an RSVP list to the first post
I would rather not change the lunch plans and routes again......

By the year 2100, you would be 111 years old. If it can be done now, I am sure it can be done by then. The Net may become implanted in the cerebum and you log onto NAM by thinking and you post by thinking of what you want to say.
