I'll be there hanging out Saturday. Sunday I have a appointment with a 1.1 mile road circuit. I can probably throw something together to bring up (not dumpling).

 

Counting down the days now...

 

We still need some volunteers to help with giving the guest of honor a lift to his hotel in the evenings.

 

I'll be there until late Sat...I'd be happy to drop him somewhere if he's done after my car. I'm an hour away, so I've got a hike myself to get home, then back in the AM with car #2.

 

I volunteered to pick up his wife and child Saturday in DC but I have not received any info as to where they are staying. Do they still need a ride?

 

I think he only problem is getting Mike back to his hotel @ night. I don't think I will be @ the event all day both days.

 

Okay, so I am not picking up the family unit?

 

I'm PM Mike. I am getting him, i'd don't know what the family is doing. As I understood it they were doing other things. I'd get them all if I could but I drive a MINI afterall and not a MINIvan

 

I wouldn't sweat getting him back to his hotel at night. I'm sure he can ask the day of, and some kind MINI owner will volunteer!

I know it's a long treck. It's also $25 a night to park a car at the hotel so we are keeping that as a last resort.

 

Actually, if I'm there, I'd be happy to! And I'm sure that I'll be there at least one of the days.

mdsBrain, what is the tint shade on the car you have in your gallery. That is what I am looking to get. Do you know if it is within the legal limit for Virginia?

 

My car is 35% on all sides. 5% on the sunroof and windsheild strip. Not VA legal but MD legal.

Just wanted to let you guys know the plans. If you PM'd me over the weekend I have not got back to you because I'm busy getting ready for the event. I will today though.

As for rides. Mark if you can pick all of us up that would be great. It's just me my wife and my Daughter. As long as you have 3 seats we're good. My wife will need some one to help with a ride at lunch time to pick up a Rental car we have booked through Hurtz. After Hannah(wife) picks up the rental than she will either make a Lunch run or go to Costco to pick up burgers for the BBQ.

We did the rental so we can drive to New Jersey on Monday to take a look at my New Truck I just bought.

 

NICE RIDE!!!! On Friday I may go and hang out, so I might be able to help once there. (Depends on my workload) I will probably be there most the weekend.

 

I don't think anyone will be there Friday But you can hang out with us in DC

 

I thought things were on Friday too --- oops!!!! What do you have planned on Friday? (I'm emailing you in a bit too)

 

I think we are going to the zoo and seeing the lincoln Memorial at night.
