Phil Wicks Driving Academy and Phil Wicks Racing will be at Summit Point Raceway on Thursday June 29
in conjuction with Mini Meet East 2006 in Frederick Maryland.

You are invited to enjoy Touring Laps at Summit Point Raceway on the Shenandoah Circuit during the lunch break for the driving school. Spectator entry fee and touring laps are $25 for those not registered for the school.
Be sure and arrive no later than 11AM. Touring laps are tentatively scheduled for 11:30.

There will be two North American MINI Cooper Championship races. Race times are set for 12:45PM and 2:45PM at Summit. MINI racers are heading in from Louisiana, Colorado, Indiana and elsewhere. Spectator fee is $5 for those not registered with the school. There will be a TV crew covering the race and Friday events at MME2006 at the host hotel in Frederick.

Phil Wicks is hosting an awards presentation for the race participants and academy attendees. Everyone interested is invited. This casual dinner and reception Thursday night will be held at the host hotel for Mini Meet East 2006, the Frederick Holiday Inn. Tickets for the reception are $25 through Phil Wicks, email Phil Wicks at racerwicks@aol.com if you would like to attend. Please let email as soon as possible how many will attend the dinner as we have to give a number to the hotel.

 

I wish I could get Thursday off to go out to these events!!!!

If you ladies are interested in going to the track, there are some Summit Point and VIR events in July, Aug etc. It would nice to actually drive with other women and not be the only one there heheh

 

I track quite a bit but Summit is about 8 hours away for me. I was up there for Mini Meet East. VIR, a bit closer, is on my list, just waiting on fate to put me there. I have to travel at least 3 to 4 hours to get to ANY track anywhere but I usually like to go where there are multiples of MINIs and Minis.
