Apartment searching

I looking into a job at Andrews AFB. I'm looking to see what areas I should look in for a 1 bedroom apt.

Not looking for $$$$$, but I dont want to be looking in a place where I have to put up sandbags or but a rotweiller,

Would like to look in areas that traffic wouldn't be crazy to get to andrews.

ANy websites or suggestions?

Thanks

Paul

Abbott's Run in Alexandria is nice. It's where I'm living now (well, when I get back from FL). Due to the majority of the occupants being military or gov't, it's safe. I even left my car unlocked overnight a couple times, and everything was still there in the morning!

It's only about 1/4 mile off of Rt. 1, but it's fairly wooded, so you really don't get any road noise. In the morning, it's about a 6 mile drive up Rt. 1, across the bridge, and to the Andrews AFB exit. Keep in mind that you're going against traffic. It should take you about 20-25 minutes to get to/from work one way.

If you want any more info, feel free to PM me!

Stay away from places inside the beltway on the MD side of the river...or better yet try not to get a place in PG County but if you have to...choose Northern PG county.

Check out Craigs List - www.craigslist.org - great site for ALL kinds of things - including places to live...

Prince George's County.

Crime has gone up in PG since DC began gentrifying and pushing all the poor people into affordable PG county. Andrews is far enough away from the city that it's relatively calm out there. Try looking into the immediate area.
