Open House - MINI of Towson - March 15 6 pm

MINI of Towson is hosting their third open house - MINI Night Three - on March 15 and DCMM has been invited to come out and play with them.

I don't have a lot of details, but the last event had some great give aways, decent food and good information. We also were able to sign up several new members at the event.

The event is being held on March 15 (Wednesday) from 6 pm to 9 pm. It is open to everyone. You do not need to have bought at Towson or even ever been to MINI of Towson to come.

Gina asks that we RSVP to her at 410-296-6464 or via e mail at RECEPTION@MINITOWSON.COM

*With another volunteer, I would be willing to man a DCMM table again, we can give out information on the Dragon, the Club and generally have a good time promoting ourselves!*

I would love to be there and help out, but I'm scheduled to work the evening shift that night. Work has been slow though, so if I can work out something, I will let you know.

I just got a little card/thing in the mail from them. So they are sending out invites to people. Now all I need to do is remember to send an email to rsvp.

I just noticed on the mailing they send. They want RSVPs by the 4th. So you have 2 days.

If it wasn't already obvious I'll be going. Maybe I can win something else cool this year.

I would have loved to come to this... Towson's open house last year (MINI Night 3) was my very first DCMM event... and I had a blast.

Unfortunately, it's on a weeknight - the critical flaw. I distinctly remember leaving work at 4:30pm in Merrifield, VA and BARELY making it there on time at 6pm. With two beltways to tackle, in rush hour no less, and getting permission to leave work early... it's hard to do with so much going on there lately (plus I usually don't leave until 6:30 or 7), I just don't think I'll manage it.

Why oh WHY won't they have it on a Saturday... heck, even Friday night would be a huge improvement.

I'll be there.

Though, now I gotta clean the car up. It's yucky.

I imagine it's because they are pretty busy with deliveries and such on Saturdays. Wednesday is probably one of the slower days.

Their tech day is actually happening 2 days after I get my mods from LDG, so I'll be able to give a 48 hours opinion on everything.

Busy or not... if they truly want to cater and solicit the most ardent MINI enthusiasts, they should be doing what they can to get the maximum attendance. That means not asking people to hurry there in rush hour!

I plan on going. I may have to take off my new wheels, if the hardware isn't in tonight. The company said my hub rings and new lugs should be here today, but we'll see.

If not, I may be up there in my s-lites. :/

I plan to be there as well, might want to see if anyone wants to get together for a bite to eat nearby before.

Have to look at my map software and see what's near it...

If it's anything like last year they will be providing some food. If not there's a nice little italian joint in the little "Shop at Kennilworth" thing. I went there one day after a service and got a pizza, It was tasty. It's also the only restaurant (I think) in that little mall/thing.

Also not too far up the road is Towson Town Center (OMGXBOXHUGE MALL) that has a rather diverse food court. There's also the standard of TGI Fridays/Ruby Tuesday/Chilis/Whatever it is nearby too.

Thanks. I didn't make the previous ones so don't know what kind of food they had there. Figured I better get 'dinner' too. I found Ruby's on the map, might have to go try "MINI burgers".

I have the banners, but wasn't planning on attending unless Jen needed help of any kind. Now, I guess I'll be there ....with the banners.
