I would love to come to this, but it's up in the air because I have a scheduled network outage on Friday night that I am coordinating. LOTS of stuff we have to get done, and quite possibly a VERY late night (or even all night!).

So I'll be there if I can, but I can't promise it... and I really won't know until that very day.

Exciting thigs to see!
I stopped by John's LDG this afternoon and he has some interesting machines for you to see Saturday:
  • Lotus Elise, engine bay empty with the engine on the bench
  • An antique ~1960 Italian Vespa Piaggio 400 canvas top 500cc 2-door (sorta like the old "little mouse" Fiat Topo Giggio, but different -- Vespa means "wasp") .. see a picture of this rare car here.
  • A beautiful Blue race prepared Ferarri 360 (drool).
  • The new LDG race prepared RED MCS that finished 2nd at Daytona last month
John is really excited about the fact that he has acquired the space next door (where the State Farm agent is now) so he can open up more space for customer's cars -- the "project" cars are taking up too much space. He has his new "flat entry" list installed and his new tire installer (big enough to handle the biggest Hummer bling wheels). And he showed me where he plans to put the dyno this spring.

He tells me he has some prizes and freebies on hand, and he plans to have some cold cuts and munchies so you won't starve. He is really keen on showing off his shop and telling about all his plans. I think you'll enjoy his open house.

Tonite's weather forecast shows Saturday as the nicest day until Xmas -- temperature up to a balmy 40.

Be sure to RSVP to events@dcmetrominis.org so that we can tell John how much to have on hand.

Art -- As of now, I'm guessing 20. I don't have the foggiest idea how many folks (other than me) are going to have their cars dressed up for the holidays.
