So now that you're married and poor? Save the container, and savor its high fiber content?

I am curious.

All,

Barring unforeseen emergencies (vehicular or otherwise), I should be there.

Y'all can vote on the nature of my culinary tithe to this shindig. The host shall referee.

Just lemme know before 2:30 tomorrow, hmmm?

Katie, I added a +1 to the list. I'm bringing my sister with me, and some cheesy garlic bread.

Tom + Elizabeth Dessert
Jen

Janelle
Sally Cookies
Steve
DeCrema + 2 Tomato's with bazil and cheese
Beanbag snacks or a veggie plate

If I forgot anyone, that doesn't mean that you've been "uninvited". It just means that I forgot. Please add your name to the list and what you are bringing.
PLEASE NOTE: I have limited parking in my driveway, even for MINIs. The board members will already be here and will probably fill the available spaces. When you do a mapquest on 627 Old County Road Severna Park MD 21146, you'll notice a block south from that address a street called Roads End. PLEASE PARK THERE AND WALK. It's only a block away and your cars will be perfectly safe there.

If there are any questions, please post them here or PM me. If you want my home phone #, PM me as well.

Hmmm..it sounds to me as if most bases are covered. Howzabout something in the hors d'oevres category....I won't be starting the grill 'til 6ish. We'll need something to tide folks over 'til then.

BTW, my neighbors have very kindly offered additional parking in their drive. If we park carefully, we could fit 4 cars or so.

Janelle, your sis is welcome.

I'll need some ideas. I'm not particularly imaginative right now, when it comes to hors-whatevers. the culinary portion of my brain has apparently beeen rendered hors' d combat.

Hot wings work okay? If you can specify a local spot that's good, I'd prefer to pick some up in Annapolis or parts nearby. Otherwise, I might just get a bucket o' cluck, boneless.

My dish of choice for the picnic can easily be used as an appetizer. Although, like I have mentioned before I will need someplace for use of a steamer.

Should I just underwrite your culinary exploits?

Cheers,

c'mon Matt, put a tiny bit of effort into this...it's not too hard There's no place for wings around here. The closest chicken joint is Popeye's and I think their food's yucky. What about a 5 layer bean dip or something like that? Or go to your local super market and see what they have ready made....

I'm still at a loss on what to bring... but I'll go into the supermarket and look around for snack-type stuff...

Thank you, Thank you

Just a few little words. Thank you all for coming out to say good-bye to us. We will miss each and everyone of you. A special thanks to Aunt Katie and Uncle Paul for completely remodeling their home just for this party -- ok, for hosting.

It has been a great 3 plus years here. We got our welcome package one July after the scavenger hunt. David got his own personal t-shirt (which I still have to have framed) and I believe David has membership for life -- as the first baby born in the club. I was 9 BILLION months pregnant. We won the hunt -- aren't we competitive. Joe met Winston there.

Here's what I've found and learned in my 3 years of being a DC Metro Member:
1. There's something called "Miller Time" and it has nothing to do with beer.
2. There's a car club for a British car, whose clubhouse is Mexican.
3. You can actually drive, read directions, and entertain a 4 month old all by yourself -- and have a blast while doing it.
4. If you are stuck needing something, like a dog sitter at the last minute, not only will you find one, you'll find a family of good friends who you will cherish for ever.
5. There is a something amazing about a total stranger becoming a close friend in minutes just by asking, "so what color do you have?"
6. In our little club, we have some of the brightest, most talented group I've ever met who get along so well -- even if the most they have in common is a car.
7. I've learned to be a better driver too. I learned to park the car in gear; how to not burn out a clutch; and can recommend exhaust systems to people who actually think I know what I'm talking about.

So, while I might not have gotten to tell you last night, I will miss you all. When we took a sleepy boy and put him in the car and hugged Katie and Paul goodbye --- I got in the car and cried. This is one of the bittersweet moments in life. I'm sad to leave; I hope to come back and visit; and we'll always be around online --- PM me if you are heading out our way.

And, if you see your way out west -- we will probably be going to AMVIV this year.

Hugs and sniffles,
PB

I'm glad eveyone had a good time. It was the easiest party I've ever given...thanks to all who brought food adn drink.

I have the following items in my lost and found:
One dark beige cap and a small Mead notebook....I think they're yours, Paul?
One cut glass bowl and black metal spoon....Marina?
One very nice black leather zippered folder....Tom, this is yours, according to the info inside.
One pair of maroon potholders....
I will bring all of the above mentioned items to Tate in two weeks...unless you want to swing by and pick them up. Just give me a heads up so I can be here to return them to you.

Michael and PB...we're gonna miss you guys for sure
Thanks again all, for the great turn out!

So is the rumor true that the Tate breakfast this month isn't happening....
instead it's a cookout?

If so I should probably start my preliminary planning on what to make.
Going by all the positive comments on my dish yesterday (thank you all) I may have a hard time to one-up myself. As I also mentioned yesterday I can make the recipe available.

Good Bye and Good Luck to the Babischkins on their CA adventure. Try and avoid sinking into the Pacific.

Hey All -

Sorry I missed the event - sounds like it was a good time! Katie I'm looking forward to seeing your house - hopefully soon.

Mike and PB good luck on the left coast. I'm sure you'll have many more adventures to tell us about from the Pacific Northwest.

Great BBQ!! Sorry I didn't stay longer. I can't believe how fast the day went! Thanks to Katie and Paul for hosting (and beautiful new addition, BTW)!

And to the B's, good luck out there! Who knows, I may cruise on by one day and say hi!

Toldja I'm slowly but steadily losing it... Yep, they're mine! Are you going to be at Tate the 17th? If not, could I swing on by and pick them up if you're around on the 17th?
