I too, am going to have a pot-luck/comeseethenewaddition/goodbyetotheBabischkins party.
Hopefully, we'll be close to finished with all the construction. The wallboard's going in today and they're almost finished staining the outside of the house.
The space may be a lil sparse, but there will be plenty of it.

As we get closer to the date, I'll fill in more details as to time, what to bring, etc.

So, pencil in that date!

 

Katie; Glad to hear the project is moving ahead nicely. I'm sure that stained cedar looks great! Remember to save me any good scraps...

Um --- Katie.....the Babischkin's might have a problem with the date.....seems we have a boy turning 2 on the 7th and will be hosting his b-day party on the 6th. What about a week later??? (sorry to be a pain --- and I'm going to duck now lest something be thrown at me)

No can do, I'll be in Rehoboth from the 13th to the 27th with my family. I guess I shoulda cleared the date with you guys first, duh. We have to have this party at some point before you leave.....

That's a couple hundred miles north of where I'll be, but I'm planning on moving to CA, too. (In October.)

We move in early October.

We are free the weekend before the 6th and the weekends after --- I don't think we have much (other than packing and moving) planned for August and September. (though the 9/10 is a wedding we may be attending)

The weekend before the 6th is gonna be the go-karting thing, I think. Lessee...you'll be busy on the 10th...that leaves Labor day weekend.
When, exactly, are you leaving?

 

We don't have an exact date yet -- depends on when the house closes --- but figure we will be on the road no later than 10/1. But even still the weekend before might be a wee bit hairy ---- so, let's not commit past 9/17 (which happens to be 1 day AFTER *my* birthday --- in case anyone wanted to celebrate)

Sorry we don't have details yet -- the house should go on the market in July (we got new carpet yesterday and expect it to be painted by the end of the month).

So..let's do this Labor Day weekend. I think that's enough notice in advance for folks to make plans, yes? Is that ok for you guys as well? Seems that's the only viable date since you all are going to a wedding the following weekend....?
