Makes sense once you learn San Diego geography.

There is a great Thai place in Old Town San Diego.

Great sushi place called "Sushi To Go" near Horton Plaza.

Horton Plaza ain't in Old Town.

Cheers,
Matthew Z.

Better a late yes than not coming...

 Not to worry folks, I didn't cut it that close. Even with a good number of surprise guests I don't expect anyone to have to share a hot dog

I'm expecting a good size crowd. If not, I'm going to be eating off the grill for the rest of the summer.

Nope. It's in the Gaslamp Quarter.

And I'm not working this Saturday anymore, so after consulting with the misses, we may be able to attend.

We can't make it after all...

I hate to say it, but it's true. We have an unexpected (and self invited) guest coming in from out of town this weekend. If it were just a friend, I'd bring them along with us, but it's my 82 year old grandmother. I don't think she'd be too comfortable in the mini, and her idea of a cookout is having my husband grill while she sits in the a/c then she takes a nap for three hours. So, we unfortunately will not be able to partake in the festivities.

Please eat a bratwurst for me. It's supposed to be beautiful here in Baltimore, so hopefully the nice weather is out in Alexandria too.

Tina

Barring culinary catastrophe here, I'll be there, with a dish..Carbonnade of Beef. Beef stewed in beer, for the uninitiated.

If disaster strikes, I'll just come empty-handed, and mope over my latest kitchen mishap..

Cheers,
Matthew Z.

No moping and no empty hands! If your carbonnade doesn't work, then bring the beer.

I had a bunch of fun, Thanks for throwing the party Mark.
I'm also glad people actually ate the food I made this time so I didn't have to come home with a big bucket of Mac & Cheese.

Dang!!!

Sorry I missed out on the fun yesterday, but something came up at the last minute (my brother came to visit from Philly - he's looking to purchase a MINI). I actually had a MINI related event (unfortunately it wasn't with you guys) because we went to MINI of Sterling and spec'd out a Cooper S and my brother test drove their 230HP S (that *****' is loud).

Thanks again for the invite Mark, I'm sorry I missed it. It won't happen again!
