Hey, I'll share with you!

Hi, if you still need a non-smoker to share your cabin, I would be willing. I've currently got a reservation at the Microtel, but would rather be at Fontana. If still available, please email me minicoopergirl@triad.rr.com so we can talk. Thanks!

Lynn

I'm still not sure yet... I just got back from Australia late on Monday night... I hope to be able to ask the boss within the next day or two. I can't just march up there first thing, I have to be sure he's in a good mood.

As soon as I know, I'll post!

WOOHOO - I have boss permission to go... but with a catch. My company has an office in Charleston, SC. They are in need of some technical work (I'm a network engineer), including a system upgrade, and so the deal is that I'll have to leave a day or two earlier (say on the Tuesday or Wednesday), do the work in Charleston, then drive to the Dragon. If there are any loose ends at that office, I will go back after the event, before returing back home to the DC area.

ANYWAY... the point is that I can now commit to a Fontana room. Is there anyone else who still needs someone to split with? I'd be arriving on Thursday the 5th, and leaving on Sunday the 8th.

Haemish, I still have a room....if you don't mind sharing a cabin with an antique. Um, that's me..not the car.
I'll let you know what your split is, if you decide to bunk with me.
If you want to hang with a more ...um...party oriented crowd closer to your own age, that's cool too.

Well, Katie... the opposite is also true. I'm not "antique" but I'm no spring chicken either - I'm 30.

Since I've never been to a Dragon event before, I don't know fully what to expect. I am a very social guy though, so I won't be surprised if I'm up pretty late - I'll be looking for the "party cabin" to socialize, most likely! It's your reservation, not mine... so you set the "cabin rules" and I'll be happy to follow them! If you're an "early to bed, early to rise" kind of person, just let me know what time you want to crash and I'll be sure to not disturb you.

To put it simply - I'll take it. I can go where the "crowd" is, the crowd doesn't have to come to me.

Fabulous. That'll work out perfectly. I'm getting there Wed., hopefully mid-day. We can work out finances at some point during the event, I'm not too worried.

Hehehe...a newbie, eh? This is my 3rd Dragon, so I guess you could call me an expert. However, this is my 1st time actually staying at Fontana, so it will be even more fun. There are sufficient party cabins, so you'll definitely be within walking distance of ..er...um...bacchinalia.

LOL, I guess I sound like I'm in my conservative dotage, I am old enough to...be.....your.......mom (crikey!!), but I ain't. You'll see.

You might be old enough to be my mother -- but you're cool enough to be David's Aunt Katie!!!

Actually, Edge, she's a cool lady --- she's done more and been to more than most and has all the stories to prove it (and her's aren't boring either!) And if you want a good time ask her about her construction project at home that she's escaping.

Katie, since you'll be down on Wednesday --- dinner's at my cabin and I'll be putting you to some work --- never fear it is light work....and I pay with food.

Hugs,
PB
