Good body shops in the DC Metro area

Hey guys,

I have a dent next to my wheel well. Some *** hit my car, damaging the plastic trim above the rear, driver side rear well. The reflector on the bumper was also damaged).

Mini of Sterling was nice enough to fix the trim and the reflector for free, but after washing my car this weekend, due to the nice weather, I noticed I had a big dent next to where my car was hit. :(

Anyone know of good/reliable/reasonably priced body shops in the Arlington area? Anywhere in the DC Metro area is fine with me.

Thanks!

Jorge

Sadly good and reasonably priced don't really go together. Wagon Work on Jeff Davis Highway in Crystal City is the best, and certainly one of the most expensive. But in five years do you want to be able to see where the dent was? The good new, if it is just a dent, they may be able to remove it without any paint changes. Good luck.

We used Ashburn Collision in Sterling when we got rear ended. They did an excellent job. They are right off Rt. 28 near Sterling MINI.

I went to Dent Masters in Sterling for the dent caused by a dear running into my car. The cost to pop out the dent was half the cost of a repaint. This is only a good option if the paint is not damaged. The dent on my car was the size of a outstreached hand and maybe a little deeper, located in the compound curve above and behind the left rear wheel. I am very happy with the work.

If a PDR (paintless dent removal) shop can't handle it, Falls Church Auto Body is very good (near 66). Let's put it this way, the insurance professionals I know, would have their personal cars painted or repaired there because of the final product.

Wagon Works as previously noted is great, but may cost as previously noted.

Good luck.

We were without Scooter for almost a month. Mainly due to the parts were not on hand and had to be ordered as this happened in Dec. of 02' and we bought the car in May of 02'. It also happened on Christmas Eve of all days.. So the Holidays slowed everything down a bit... But Scooter is still looking great!!!

Maybe someday Scooter will get back to VA.... Miss ya also...

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I just want to make a comment on Ashburn Collision, as mentioned before in this thread. I got in a wreck with a Honda Pilot a while back and put a nice huge gouge in the driver's side of my 04 MCS. It was pretty ugly, went from the side mirror all the way back to the gas cap. It needed a new door panel, a new rear quarter panel, new molding both under the door and around the rear wheel, a new door handle, a new lock, and various other little parts. They did an AMAZING job, my MINI looks exactly like it did before. No paint matching issues, nothing. The only way you can tell that there was any work done on it is that the new molding looks obviously new. It kind of took a while, cause they were waiting on the lock from Germany. A little bit of a bother but its nice to know that they're getting parts straight from the source.

Anyway, if you're in the DC metro area, I'd get body work done at this place for sure. They've got a ton of experience with MINIs because MINI of Sterling takes all their body work to them. So yeah, thumbs up for Ashburn Collision.

I want to put a good word in for Rossyln Auto Body in Bailey's Crossroads. I have seen do a great repair on a VW Tourag that it a Telephone pole head on. My E30 is currently down there getting some work done. Haven't seen the final product but feel confident based on discussions and customer service.

It is just about a mile West of Rt 7 and Columbia Pike on Columbia Pike. The building is old, but they have a great shop inside.
