UK MINI Motoring Tour! This week!
For those of you who want to follow the antics of Mike Angier, Mike Whitley, Chris Kaminsky and Jay Hernly as we drive MINIs around the UK this coming week, keep an eye on: http://photos.yahoo.com/z3bum. We'll have a Photo Album from the trip that we will try and update on the fly.

Already in UK

Hi -- Elizabeth and I have spent the last week here in UK. We have been leaching off Elizabeth's sister in Redhill -- Just south of London. Spent 2 days in town and 2 days touring stately old mansions.

Today we depart for a few days in Oxford and surroundings. Plant to meet MikeW, Mike A et al for a tour of the Mini factory. later on in the week. We then plan on a couple of days in the New Forest, centering on the fantastic British National Motoring Museum at Beaulieu(http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/. Then we meet up with the contingent sailing home on the new QM2. Busy week!

Regards from sunny London Tom

Hello all!! Hope things are well back in the M-A . I am onboard the Queen Mary 2 with the Clarks and Babischkins Little rough at the moment as we're going through the leftovers of Hurricane Charlie . Departed Saturday. Yesterday passed to the south of Ireland. Now it's all ocean baby...

Went to Oxford to tour MINI facility - cool . Drooled over new MINIs, walked around Austin Powers and the Italian Job MINIs . Met goonery (Stuart) and others from MINI2. New and classic MINIs everywhere. Went to the "secret" room at the plant......more on that later... .

Rented the Coopers for a week. Fun, easy shifting but took a while to get used to positioning the car. They should at least tell you SOMETHING about driving in the UK (versus) US...

Highlight of week - met Mike Cooper at JCW!! Beautiful cars and got the skinny on the new JCW bits :drool lots: :drool lots:

See ya later,

Mike

Bikinis and MINIs?

If it's ok with Jen, that might be an idea for next spring! We could turn it into an um charity event! Yeah! Now if I can teach the bikini girls to Zymol or Zaino MINIs, that would be cool!
