The wife has presented me with a Father's Day/Birthday present, in the form of an audio upgrade. I think I want to keep it simple for now - keep the head unit, but throw in some upgraded speakers and an amp, along with an iPod adapter. I have the factory standard (non-HK) setup right now.

Does anyone know a good shop in MoCo? I don't want to go to Best Buy or some other big box place and have some slacker tear up my door panels.

 

Hmmm, it isn't MoCo, but give Carlos a ring at Solar Solutions. He's a PG kinda guy, but he has a guy in his shop that does excellent audio work, and knows his way around a Mini.

 

I was looking for the same thing a few months back, couldn't find that "local" place I was looking for.

Ended up going to Myer Emco in Gaithersburg, did a really nice job. I replaced the head unit and added and amp....I have an HK system so I kept the speakers for now.

Good people, quick service, took about 6 hours.
