What helmets are legal. What ratings. I remember hearing on this forum that either M or A were fine. M2500 was one of the ratings listed. But I read on the DC SCCA site that most places dont allow Motorcycle helmets. So whats the deal, I'm about to buy a helmet, but I dont want to waste my money.

Also, any recommendations for where to look for A rated helmets. I read that they were stronger, and if they aren't much more expensive, I might as well get one of those. I also would like this to double as a motorcycle helmet in a few years. Thanks in advance.
There are some useful information about helmet at this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=133330

Did anybody register for the April 19th event? It was cancelled midway through the event and you might be eligible for a refund.

By the way, there's at least one GS Mini that doesn't run open class.

I was supposed to be there, but I turned around on my way. I figured the weather was too bad to race and since I didn't have my class numbers with me, I couldn't really race anyway...But I'm probably not getting a refund since I didn't actually show up to register .

I bought mine at a local motorcycle shop. I doubt I paid much more than I would have online. Just make sure you ask for the M2005 because a lot of motorcycle helmets aren't rated. You can check for a label that's located on either the side or back of the helmet underneath the padding.

Apparently Level 2 is driving the entire day...15-20 full course runs.

I am tentatively planning on attending the Phil Wicks class as well. Need to call them for some details

Enjoy! You're going to have so much fun and learn a lot.

I'm still waiting for a dry autocross. Looks like it's going to rain again on this Sunday
