Help taking off dash

Hey all, I need a little advice on how to remove the dash above the radio. Who ever installed the aux in cable did a half-*** job and ran it between the crack in the dash and head unit. This is causing the wire to be pinched and is not functioning at all. I plug in my Ipod and all you can hear are the vocals, no bass, treble, notta.

Thanks in adavance!!

I am no expert in this area by any means...but I did find quite a bit of info on audio in this section of NAM. It is worth your time to take a look at some of the posts when you have the time.
