Oh man, I am sorry that that happened! I hate to hear about injuries to any Mini....

Hey Reechard! Check out this photo! No wonder you got a Mini That Turns the Most Heads award with that wild two tone paint job!

And another line up shot:

Wow!

I had at GREAT time on the run and hanging out at the picnic! As already mentioned by few others earlier, a big THANKS must go to the folks (Glenn, Bev, Christine, Laura, and anyone else I might have forgotten ) who set up all this!

And thank you very much for the Best Personalized License Plate award! I picked the plate not just because I got a MINI, but because it perfectly describe the joy of motoring--although of course a MINI make motoring so much more fun!

We just have to add our thanks to everyone involved in organizing this event. Thanks for all the hours you spent making sure everything was just right. Thanks for all the hours you spent behind the wheel perfecting the run. It is the dedication of members like you that will keep the club going and make it fun for everyone.

We had a great time even though we were late to the run, and then had to take off a little earlier than we would have liked. (Had to get home and cook our daughter's birthday dinner.)

Thanks again for a great day.

Carol and Tom

Really enjoyed the food and seeing all the new faces (new to me) and new MINIs. Nice location. The park has a lot to offer. Next year I will allow some time to explore the park and maybe rent a canoe

PS
On the way home my GPS takes me down a semi paved road and then a spot in the road you had to ford thru a small creek

Yes I did turn around and use an alternate route
Ah yes, that would be the other side of West Old Baltimore Road (the section we didn't hit). When Bev and I were scouting out roads we ran across that stream and actually crossed it.

Yada yada yade, Barbarella had to go into the shop a few days later.

Good choice on turning around.

What a great run. big hands for Glenn and Bev for an awesome job. Also big thanks to Bill, great sweeper indeed.
I really love that "100 ft" rollercoaster dip. Fun, fun.... fun.

Food was great as well. Many thanks to Christine and Eric for the arranging at the park. Beautiful job.

Big thanks to Laura and Dave for an exellent job tracking and make sure everything was in good order and went as plan.

Also big thanks to DCMM and the board for their generous contribution to the picnic.

Most of all, hugh thanks to everyone who came and made this event a fantastic event, one of the best I would say.
It wouldn't happen and wouldn't be this fun if not because of all of you. You all are awesome.

The pictures are in post processing stage, should be ready soon. I will keep you all update.
I was getting on this morning to say the exact same sentiments but Chris put everything I was thinking down so perfectly that there's no need in repeating them.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and for all your support!

Now, we just need to carry on this annual picnic tradition onto next year and lets keep it growing and growing.

Virginians, it's your turn to host next year! If anyone is interested, please step forward and this year's picnic committee will help you along as best we can.

This was a great event and we couldn't be happer with how the day went. It was just so perfect all around.

Glenn

Congratulations on your win!

Any play on the Let's Motor theme is so tough to get on a plate so we were happy to see one finally.

Hmmmm....are you sure it is not because you won the most active on-line member award yesterday?

Thanks everyone for coming out to play yesterday. It was a blast! It was great to see everyone again and meet new people. It was also great to meet the four-legged members of your families.

Thanks to the board for your support - the financial and the encouragement throughout.

Thanks to the picnic committee -- Glenn (my favorite picnic committee member ), Laura, Christine, & Chris. Great job!

Oh, and I should throw out a HUGE thank you to Maxicooper who had some of his staff working the picnic and the run, taking photographs and helping at the shelter. The photographs are great Chris! Thank you.

Wow, the picnic was a HUGE success!!! THANKS to everyone who came and made it so much fun and my picnic committee (Glenn, Chris and Laura)!! I sooo wanted to go on the run...it seemed like so much fun. When I saw you guys coming down the hill into the parking lot, I was filled with so much awe. Good job on the run, Glenn and Bev! I stayed behind to take care of catering and decorations. BIG THANKS to my decorating crew - Chris' 2 helpers, Eric (hubby), Ed and Katie. I couldn't have done it w/o you .

I'm sad it's over. Can't wait till next year's. Who's taking over?

p.s. Deuce, my little poodle, LOVEd meeting all of you, by the way! He had so much fun, he was pooped by 6:00.

Christine

wow...wonderful photos. I'm sorry I missed the run..the group photo is priceless!

Glenn, Bev and the Two Chrises..way to go. Money well spent by the club to make this happen. I hope this new tradition will continue, and I encourage all members in VA, to start scouting for picnic places and routes for runs for next year. As I tried to say in my microphone hogging way, events just don't materialize. It takes commitment and hard work to pull off a really great event like this picnic we all enjoyed.

So NOVAs, put your thinking caps, use your invaluable local knowledge and help DCMM continue this new and wonderful tradition!

Aw crap - now I'm really sorry I missed this, especially since it was about 10 minutes from my house. Alas, the wife and daughter got back from Dallas on Saturday night, so we needed a little family down-time on Sunday.

Nothing else on the calendar for this month - really?
