I was there briefly. Mark was the only other DCMMer that I saw. We were the only two Minis that were registered in the show. I only registered because it was a 10 dollar difference and got some free swag I ended up leaving early and had no real intention of competing (my car was embarrassingly dirty).

Lower turn out than last year prob due to the weather, but still a decent showing. Was relaxing and a good time. I will post some pics when I get a chance.

Fantastic, looking forward to see some pictures. Will try my best to join next year.

With so many MINI's events recently, I couldn't keep up with them all.

Also, I can't do MINI's weekend events back to back, Sat and Sun, any more.

Yup, just the two of us. Sad. On the bright side 5 or more registered, so they created a class for New MINIs. Since Play by Play was only there very briefly, I sorta cake walked away with the '1st place' medal. Was more fun to win it last year when we had a few at least. Met a couple MINI owners who came but didn't show there cars and filled them in on DCMM.

I'm uploading stills now. But I'm 1/2 way to Fontana and the upload speed here at the motel stinketh. So it'll be a hour or two to upload and I'll post a pointer the the pics tomorrow night if Internet at Fontana is back up...

Edit: Aah, cwap. Clicking the thumbnails yields a empty frame. Oh well, I'll mess with it tomorrow.

Looks like fun. Too bad I spent the ENTIRE day in the library buried under books studying for an exam i will probably fail anyway....

I totally forgot about this event. Plus the Puppy had a vet appointment that I almost forgot about.

I was there early with George, 10:30 or so. I talked to Mark briefly and saw the other JCW on display (if you think your R53 was dirty, you should have checked mine in the parking lot!). I had the kids so staying long wasn't much of an option.

Highlights for me were a Series 101 Front Cab Land Rover, '59 AC, '61 Lotus hardtop, '46 MG TC Police Car, '69 Spitfire GT6.

When I left at about noon, there were five Classic Mini's and our two DCMM'er Mini's. That matches the total classes showings, i.e. a bit down for the total count compared to last year for all vehicles shown.

The food was better this year (Fish and Chips, burgers, etc.), the entertainment good, kids actives were better ... so only the soggy start for the day kept folks away I think.
