Oh... I didn't see the venue change.

Super, thanks I'll buy in! I MAY be there early. A friend of mine is going to come along to ride shotgun and take care of getting beads to the ladys on the passenger side of the car.

I don't know yet if we'll get a bite in Crystal City then head over, or come over early and eat in Clarendon.

 

I cannot participate in the parade because Isabelle is still grossly dirty and I was sick all weekend and could not wash her. But I would love to meet up and visit with everyone since I live very close to Claredon. So, where exactly should one be to "meet up and talk" and when?

Jen, I think Maxicooper was suggesting those who are pre 6 could meet at Murky's, and the 6 pm gathering is at the garage...

How dirty is it? It'll be dark after all.

You could ride along with one of us too. I've got one passenger so far. How do ya feel about the cabrio small back seats? You could ride / stand back there, wear a tiara and let em try to figure out who you are!

 

Ok looks like we are to line up in section C, with the King and Queen of the Parade. We will line up on Wilson I assume at Barton street. They want us in "place" BY 7:30 parade to start at 8ish.
I think I'll go to Murky say hello at 6 then head down to starting area to get dressed.

My Indi Blue is Indi Dark Silver Grey. And my white wheels could pass for black. It's that bad.

I will either be at Murky or the parking garage, depending on when work spits me out for the night. Let me see how the cold is doing and maybe I will ride along!

I'm heading up to Clarendon after picking up my co worker at 5 in Oldtown. I think I'll look for the garage first and park there while we got get something to eat. The we'll walk down and scope out the staging area before returning to the garage to decorate.

 

It was nice to see the parking garage top crew last night! The cars looked great. Waiting to see pics of the King and Queen!

 

I'll have a video up in a hour or two... That was fun! I still can't believe how big the crowd was.

 

Dr. P said he wanted to go, so I dusted him off and dressed him up a bit, and here we are:

You won't see much of the Queen in "Ambrogina" ... long story .. but it was a fun parade...

 

Just went to check on Dr. P this morning, and found that some of the silly string that the crowd sprayed on us last night had encrusted itself on the window trim and paint

Came off the paint okay, but not the trim. I've got it soaking now, and hopefully it will fully release

If you haven't tended to your cars yet, you might want to do it sooner rather than later. Not sure how tenacious this 'harmless' product will turn out to be

I brushed if off with no problem from paint and the black trim around the wheel wells, but that was last night. Video's almost done.

 

No strings on my car but a couple of shoe prints on the back seat courtesy of one the Queen's sons.

 

I just finished cleaning up. Nothing too serious. There was a little silly string on the window trim, but most of it came off.

I can't wait to see the pictures!

Here we go folks. The first minute is of the cars and what have you, and the parade footage starts at about 1:07. I think it got the feel of the crowd pretty well.

Great fun. I was standing at the side-line by Whole Foods yelling at you all! I saw Laura Jane, Mark and Marina in your MINIs... They looked great. Did you all see the Mini Moke?? Anyone get photos of it?
