If we get to 30, we may have to split up into 2 packs.

But don't you think that the site of 23+ Minis all in a row would be impressive as all get out ?? IMHO, split up if 30 or more.... again, just my opinion.

Cannon to the left of them ! Cannon to the right ! Volley'd and thunder'd.............noble six hundred

"Charge of the Light Brigade"

The more the merrier It really should be left up to the leader, if the route does not have too many turns, then full spread would work. The other thing is designate a second group lead and sweep but try and keep it together............

Agree. I'm going to run the route this weekend to get a really good feel for it. As long as there are not a TON of traffic lights, stop signs, and other traffic-breaking points, we'll do the run as 1 pack.

I love seeing all those MINIs strung out in one long line. I'm just sorry I won't get to see all those faces as people start to realize just how many MINIs they are seeing pass them by !

If I remember it correctly, the first parts that run through Elicott city is very confusing and there are several traffic light and intersections.

I like the idea of 2 leaders and sweepers (if 30+), but try to keep the whole pack together.

I'm going to alter the route slightly when we get up near Westminster. Since we're having lunch about a mile from town, no need for us to go up there into the congested area.

I'll also look for those dreaded unpaved roads when I do the practice run. If necessary, I'll work a minor re-route to avoid them.

If we're gonna run as one pack, can you identify some adequate parking lots along the way that we can use for regrouping points? Especially within the following half-mile or so of the complicated places that you expect will break up the group? It seems like that the last time we went through Ellicott City, that we had to regroup in a church parking lot a few miles down the road.

The only day I can really do the practice run is on Sunday. I appreciate the offer though and you're both welcome to tag along that day if you can make it.

Can't make it this Sunday. I have a commitment that there will be no "MINI action" this weekend, since next week it will be MINI all weekend long.

I really wish I could. Have fun.

One other suggestion, we need to designate a "middle man" for radio relay for each pack. There is no doubt that we lose each other over the hills and corners. Last run I heard the lead calling the sweep, the sweep calling the lead and only me hearing both !

What cartoon signatures ?

Find the thread called "What If???" and ask nicely for a cartoon pic of your MINI and then wait for The Creative Master (aka COOPERation) to do one for you.

And as for getting out of neutral.... POST POST POST !!!

Or you could simply look up some of the sig cartoons that COOPERation has been more than nice enough to make for us (look at his gallery) and with a bit of time and liberal use of MS Paint, frankenstein your own unique signature!
