What is going to be the 3rd DCMM Photo Contest?

Not many submissions... What is everyone doing? We need more photos...

Great submissions!

I was going to say that there should be a 1 pic per person limit, but I guess it really doesn't matter.....

We will announce the 3rd topic on 1/19 at the breakfasst meet. Next one is going to be an easier one.

You may need to look over the rules again ...

"1. Two entries per member per month..."

I confess to being suprised to see the change in the rules when I went to submit the pictures. I like the idea of two pics. I also like the change to full size pictures mentioned further down the rule page. This is a very easy contest to play in with fun topics.

I wanted to have a group of three or four MINIs/Minis around a table with china, table cloth and silverware - but could not pull that off with my schedule. Still taking a picture flash off camera in the rain was fun. I did not want to let another month (or two) go by without putting something in.

I would like to congratulate the owner of the second picture - the one I voted for. I think that pictue is more in keeping with the topic. My shots come off more as a night at home than a night out - but there you go.

Bummer, I won't be able to attend. College classes start this week so I'm pretty sure I will be busy with that. Although I would love to attend, 90 minute drive (I'm sure some of you drive from further away) is a little to much for me.

Out-of-district vote:

It was a toss-up between #2 and #3. I don't look at the results until I vote, and for once I was in the majority. I like the Global Warming scheme in #3, but a post above suggested the staying at home aspect relating with the theme. The Christmas lights in #2 make me think of the effort to get people outside at night to watch a Light Parade, so that fits the theme best.

But if the rules say something about living on the other side of North America, then flame away. I just do sunsets.
