The monthly photo contest is designed to give members a reason to get out and shoot, get creative, show off your MINI(s), your style, and your skills, and to have your work voted on by fellow members of the DC Metro Minis.

The winner will have their picture displayed at the next DCMM monthly breakfast and the winner image will remain on display at the dealership until the next contest winner is announced or as long as we are allowed to keep it up.

Please read ALL of the rules:

1. Two entries per member per month
2. The photos must be MINI related, comply with the site guidelines, be no larger than 10 MB in .jpeg format. Full resolution will be requested from the finalists, for print outs.
3. Entries must be your original work.
4. You retain all copyrights to the photo, and will receive credit for your photo if selected. DCMM will reserve the right to use/post the submitted images in club site, forum and publishing.
5. For photo submissions to be included in the contest, it must be shot between the date the topic is announced (usually at the monthly breakfast meeting) and the contest deadline (the Saturday before the next meeting). Generally we will use the honor system, however EXIF data may be spot checked. Please leave the EXIF data attached. If you don't know what EXIF is, just make sure the date setting on your camera is correct. Do not use "save for web" in Photoshop as that will remove the EXIF data.
6. Photoshop may be used for photo adjustments, but each submission must retain an appearance that it was captured on camera. (No abstract editing)
7. Deadline is 12 Noon Eastern Time on the Saturday before the next breakfast meeting.
8. All photos must be submitted to Maxicooper via email @ Photocontest@dcmetrominis.org
9. All photos will be screened by the events committee and trimmed down to 10 finalists. The 10 finalists will be up for voting by DCMM members to determine the winner.
10. The contest committees are not allowed to submit his/her images into the contest.
11. Must be DCMM members, in order to be able to submit the image(s) to the contest.

For purposes of voting, each photo will be numbered 1-10 for each of the finalists. Each user is allowed one vote. The photo with the most votes by 12 Noon Eastern Time, of the Friday before the Breakfast meeting, will have their photo on display at the featured dealership for the coming month.

How to enter
Entries must be submitted to Maxicooper via email at Photocontest@dcmetrominis.org with the subject line reading “DCMM Photo Contest”. When you upload your image you must include a topic of the contest, your name and image's caption.
