Run planned for September?
Are there any fun runs planned for September ?
Perhaps the idea of a run ending up at Union Jack's on the 9th ?
We (Wensley, Wifey and myself) have wanted to go on a run since earlier this year but work and family plans have conflicted
with the club schedules. In fact, I'm afraid to even post this, not knowing what work has in store.....I'm so bummed that we missed so many
but we really want to participate !
If no run is planned, hope the next one is not October 6th ! I'm already booked :impatient
Cheers !

I snuck Wensley into the shop at work for a wax

I was hoping to lead a run this month, but work is crazy. My schedule right now is three twelve-hour watches from 8PM to 8AM in a row, one watch off, then going right back into another three.
I don't have enough time to go on a drive down the street, much less plan and lead a run.
If someone feels up to it though, I don't think anyone has led a run through the mountains and valleys in western VA this year! That was always one of my favorites!

Now would you want a student pilot as your Captain on your Southwest flight to your destination
We newbies depend on the old hares to help guide us go forth in our quest for Mini fun
It appears that there may not be enough interest for a run, do big deal, we'll shoot for the next one.
Cheers,
Mike

Whether it's 2 cars or 20...it's a group of folks enjoying themselves.
Ya never know, a run you might put together could become a yearly event, if you're willing to spend time mapping and organizing. I bet a veteran or 2 could even help
There are also files of routes...somewhere..I'm not sure who has them. Ask.
Ok, I will be the "one brave soul".
Please meet me @ Hains Point, East Potomac Park, DC. Sat, Sept 22nd at 9am.
It will be a fun & short "MINI show-off" run, will finish at Mach V dyno event (maybe a picnic for lunch, not sure yet).
Detail and routing to be followed.

It will sure be fun.
The format will be as follow:
"From the starting point, we will start by letting the cars go one at a time in one minute interval, by picking their own route. Who make the shortest time to Mach V, win."
JK,....
Actually, It will be a short run through some twisty, rolling local road and GW parkway. Plus, if the weather permited, we might do some photo session at the starting point and at Mach V.
This should be fun, there are quite a few hidden gems (nice twisty roads) in and around Fairfax, Mclean, Sterling and Herndon area.
I'd appreciate some advice regarding to routing as well.
More detail is coming soon in the different thread. Stay tune.
