by the rules, yes. VA regs say 50% front and 35% rear. Mine is 35% all around but just passed inspection last month (had my blonde wife take it in for me ). Your experience may vary.

VA state inspectors do not have the equipment to test the tint percentages, and on a mini you can't test any of the rear windows whatsoever. If you have something on the windshield, they might take issue... which is why I always ask ahead of time before I bring it in.

20%, and no front plate, VA.

50% down to the AS1 line is legal in VA.

I say open up to the sky and keep the the windows and top down where they belong; and who needs tint!

That said, I may still check out the tint party...

I saw plenty very darkly tinted cars in SoCal, so I don't think tint is much of a cop caller, unless you drive like an *** (which I also saw a lot of in SoCal).

Solar Solutions is AWESOME!!!!!

They should change their name to Car Solutions. Just got a superb tint and BMW iPod install done at a ridiculously low price.

Don't let their laid-back style fool you. These guys are a talented bunch of professionals who know their stuff and can help pimp your ride. It's not often you can find service you'd gladly pay double for. Their delivery exceeds their promise. Very impressive!

I live in VA and would happily make that trek up there again.

Thanks again Carlos, Brian and Pablo!

Best,
T.

I fully agree! They just did our third car for us (all within the last 8 months!). They are great!

I wanted to quickly give another thumbs up to Carlos at Solar Solutions. It was worth the hour drive as he does top notch work and a pleasure to work with.

35% all around and love it. Actually, it could have been better with 20%, but I don't want to get pull over often. (I have MD license plate, not FL. )
Maxi is your sunroof tinted?
