A couple of updates:

The Capitol Hill Parade this is year is going to have new longer route !!

We are # 40 in the Annapolis Parade and there are a few new rules -I'll provide a copy of the Parade Bulletin before leaving WS Motocars- please note "due to heightened security awareness all vehicles will be subject to search"

I will contact WS tomorrow to confirm their availability.

As stated before I will provide paper supplies, I also have plenty of ketchup.

Jeremy, If you want to, you can come to my place in Capitol Hill before the
mtg time. It may be easier for you than going to Hines Point. PM me for directions.

I have a friend who wants to watch the first parade here in DC.

What is the parade route so I can let her know where to see us?

Jeremy, since Marina's got the paper supplies covered, could you pick up some hamburgers? You can get frozen ones that can be cooked right on the grill.
Oh and buns too.

If, for some reason WS feeps out on the BBQ, our house is available as in past years.

check the RSVP list..that should give you a head count. If you put the frozen burgers in a cheapie styrofoam cooler, they should be ok til the cookout...

Spoke with Sam and he told me that we can still use WS facilities/water/grill, but that is all they will supply. He is also supplying charcoal, so someone needs to get there early to get the grill up and running.

The starting point is in front of the Navy Yard and the parade will go thru 8th Street SE a.k.a. "Barracks Row" and D Street. Standing by the Marines Barracks - their band will open the Parade - is a good spot, also in front of www.Groovydc.com is good.

If there is not enough food we can always order pizza as we did in the past @ Katie's.
NOTE if someone is bring food for the after Parade BBQ I can run home and put it in the fridge so you don't need to carry it around during the parade and the long staging time

I just joined and also signed on for the first parade in DC; however, I have to change some earlier plans to ensure I can make it on time.
I may not be able to get PARTY DECORATIONS, but I will hit the wash rack. I was expecting to see more numbers signed on! Pretty busy day I guess.
Hope to see you in the AM.

Hey, when you see me with my dog at the parade, don't worry, its just for the parade, we're not bringing the dog to your house!

blue painters tape is cheap, won't hurt your paint/graphics and it doesn't leave a residue.
I'm going to bring some.
