Coming up on my first service...

greetings! i'm coming up on my 10k service appt. is there anything i should be sure to do or have them check or ask?? i'm closer to sterling but annapolis isn't out of the question, is one better than the other? i bought my mini at annapolis but was underwelmed by there service department when having some dealer bits installed but that was last year...

any feedback or guidance would be appreciated

Welcome neighbor! (Annandale )

I definitely recommend you go to Sterling over Annapolis (i.e. Tate MINI). Aside from the fact it's closer, Tate has a bad reputation lately, especially for service.

I'm curious - if Sterling was closer, what caused you to buy from Tate? No, I don't work for Sterling, but it does sound like it sometimes. (I'm one of their biggest MINI customers)

why tate...

thanks for the feedback! as to why i bought at tate, loyalty i guess. on memorial day last year i had pretty much decided to buy a mcsc but had yet to drive one. i went out to sterling to take a test drive and they were closed. itching to get in a mini i drove to tate. the ma was nice and friendly and let me drive a couple different minis. the ma worked with me and i got several freebies that help cushion the blow of paying list price! i did have a couple issues that were not satisfactorily resolved in my opinion, one having to do with the service department. i'm disappointed to hear my experience was not an isolated one with tate...but happy to hear you think sterling is good.

thanks again
