California Bay area Mini check in!
Hey who wants to go on a run in a few weeks with the local Mini ppl. Who is up for a coastal or valley run? Lemme know so we can set something up. It will be good times and Great Cars!

Mini driver who drives out there a lot, but always in rental cars as I live in NH. Would love to join up, but not too many companies rent Mini's and not sure if work would let me expense renting one special.

sweet..... what would you ppl rather hit...cool coastal turns up hwy 1 or the valley were we can watch our cars dog it at watch or coolant turn blacker than night

How you all looking for this weekend? Do a coast run. SF to Santa Cruz via Hwy 1. Lemme know. We can stop off for lunch over at Sam's chowder house. Then on to Santa Cruz and take 18 back through the mountains. best i can come up with on short notice. or we can start in santa cruz and got the other way. either or

Another Oaklander checking in. Depending on the time of day (and how busy work keeps me) the wife and I might make it. Would be great fun to meet some fellow NAMers. We'd probably only drive to HMB though. Mmmmm, chowder...

This weekend works for me. But I would need to know before Friday evening though.
"SF to Santa Cruz" so I assume we meet in SF somewhere? I never heard of Sam's Chowder House....but I do like chowder. It's better than

Have a great idea to keep equal miles between all mini's. If we all meet in oakland and start there by the time we come back around everybody beside those who have to skip from HMB it should work. Darthhen you will have the same distance trip as oakland mini due to meeting up with us there. you will be the first off the route while we travel back up. It's perfect!

Since we all live in different spots of the bay. we can all buddy up at different points. those who live in south bay can meet up with me in castro valley then go to oakland to meet up with the oaklanders and all do Hwy 1 together. we will all have the same miles because of the complete circle we will be doing. What do you all think. would love to do this Saturday if possible. And of course we stop at Sam's for the Lobster roll!

midasmike, I'm right off of Montague and 880. Do you know where the Chevron gas station is, right off 880 and Montague exit? It's on the West side, it's like one of those gas stations right off the freeway. The address of the gas station is: 790 Montague Expy, San Jose, CA, 95131. I'm not sure why it's not showing up as Chevron gas station though from Yahoo. But it is really a Chevron gas station.
Others, what time does ya'll want to meet?? We can work backwards to work out a schedule
Scotts Valley to San Jose (880 & Montague), ???
San Jose to Castro Valley is about 35 minutes.
Depending where we're meetinging in Oakland, I guess we can budget 20 minutes. Unless we're going to the Oakland Hills.
So depending on what time we're meeting in Oakland, I think we need to leave from SJ one hour before, just to be safe.
What do you guys think?

I agree. Should be in oakland by 9-930 the latest.
Need everybody to pm me if they are going by Friday the latest. Need to make reservations at sams depending on the group size.
