Toothless needed new shoes, so I got him into some Primacy Alpin PA3 non-runflats for the winter.

The old ContiProContact runflats had some life left in them at 23,000 miles but not much, and the ride was getting worse all the time. Noisy, shaking the whole car on every bump and tracking every line in the road.

The Alpins are a lot quieter and more comfortable. The ride finally matches the style and interior.

I put some on my CMS4 last winter, and they did great even in the few storms that had really deep snow. I live in Loveland, and commute to the Park Meadows area for work. I never missed a day due to snowy weather. (Other than the time they closed I-25) Even with all the miles I put on them in the six months they were on, they still look new. They should get me through this winter, and possibly even next.

Took some pics of the new treads today. They look smaller than my old contis, but they're the same size as stock.

Yeah, 205/55-R17

I was tempted to go to 215/55-R17, but decided to stay stock. It isn't much taller, but my clutch is starting to slip and I don't want the dealer to blame it on the tires.

We haven't had any snow yet but these tires are great on dry pavement. Couldn't be happier.
