JCW factory 19s to 17s for winter?
JCW factory 19s to 17s for winter?
I am looking to order a JCW Countryman with 19 inch wheels. Before I commit, my plan is to order the factory 19s for summer and later find a set of 17s with all season/winter tires to swap for winter. My question is whether anyone has had issues with using 17s with the JCW brake set up. For example, will I need a spacer with longer bolts to accomadate the JCW brakes?
I can confirm this, I have a JCWCM and it is disappointing that it didn't come with the 4 piston monoblock calipers like the other JCW's. Any CM wheel will fit you JCWCM.
just to throw out another option
i bought 16" mini euro oem countryman alloy wheels from ecs tuning for ~$222 per wheel, dunlop grandtrek sj6 205/70R16 winter tires from tirerack for ~$91 per tire and tpms sender set from tirerack for ~$212
the dunlops are great on ice and snow
no rubbing
stock 225/45R18 vs 205/70R16
