thanks... It's 16" steel wheels with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A 225/70/16
I do have a 2" lift kit (spacers) but i'm looking to change them out for a real lift kit at some point...

i guessed you had the lift kit, i have 205/70-16 (27.3" OD) winter tires and i don't think anything bigger would fit without the lift kit

is it the coopercrap/detroit tuned lift kit?

Its the same thing as the Detroit tuned kit. I got it from countryman connection. Its not horrible but I'd like to find a real lift kit (shocks/springs). I had to do some "remodeling" to the wheelwells to fit the 225/70/16s... it wasn't too invasive, I cut two 2" strips about 5" long along the inside of the front wheelwells at the front and back to avoid the tire from rubbing at full lock turn in either direction. The rear wheelwells had no problem. I tested the fitment out by rolling up onto a 10" curb with each wheel to check the articulation... feels good off road and not too bad on road. It definitely feels more like a truck now than a car...

can you tell me about the lift kit? i have sent emails requesting more info but never got replies

did you install them yourself?

do the spacers go on the top or bottom of the struts?

any special tools required?

what did the spacers do to the alignment?

do you have/need adjustable rear cambar bars?

i have a chassis lift and spring compressor

anything else you care to comment on?

thanks

I did not instal the kit myself. I believe the spacer is mounted above the strut. You will need a spring compressor. The alignment did shift significantly. I would recommend adjustable rear camber bars. After I had an alignment done after the spacer install the mechanic informed me that this kit would be putting an excessive amount of stress on the stock suspension system. He said a traditional lift kit using shocks and springs would be a better idea due to the fact that spacers are more of a modification to a system that were not taken into account for its intended use. I'm thinking about taking mine to a 4x4 shop and getting a quote for a custom lift kit. I'm sure it'll be expensive, but I'd like to see what that number is... I'd rather spend some more money on doing it the right way than doing it cheaper and risking severe damage. So far, I haven't had any real problems with the spacer kit, but I can't with complete honesty reccomend it. If I were to do it again, I would get a custom lift or wait for a shock/spring kit to become available. Hope this helps...

Nice setup, looks great. You might think about adding front & rear mud flaps to save some nicks and chips.

Hi KidLuck,
Really nice offroad setup, my fiancee have the exactly same color as yours, we just put a coopercrap lift kit on our car, looks so much better except tiny little wheels.
I plan to have the same steel wheel setup as yours, may I know what brand steel wheel you purchase with what offset and hub size? There is not much information I can find about R60.
Thank you
