No, it doesn't work because it won't fit under the rear floor.

But it does fit in the hatch area behind the rear seats nicely and will not move around. Photos of it are on our website. It is also reusable over and over again. Has anyone ever try to refold that tire after inflated? And the space under the rear hatch is so small it will not fit a lot of things.

Countryman spare tire solution

I had a 2011 Countryman which I sold. The buyer was not interested in the spare tire solution and I now have for sale on ebay item 261593936072.

If interested its for a good and reasonable price will pay for itself the first time you have to change tires.

Refolding the collapsable spare is simple. Just remove the inlet valve from the valve stem and let the air out of the tire. The tire will collapse back to the smaller size when all the air has escaped.
There is enough room under the floor for the collapsable spare tire, jack, 3 foot breaker bar, air compressor, couple of padded blankets, and various other tools.
I do like your spare tire, but I did not want to give up the space above the floor....

I know you sold you kit but do you have a list of all the part numbers needed to make this set up possible?

Talking The Whole Wonderful Mishigas (1)

After reading through this thread, as far as I can tell, this is everything that is needed to recreate this incredibly elegant solution.

Thank you everyone especially Smithwerks & Shoof!

Just picked up all of these parts for my 2014 Countryman S. Got stranded by the runflats in Tennessee and will NOT let that happen again. I had planned on ditching the runflats at some point anyway. Now I have a headstart on it.

Anyone see any issues with the space saver tire on my 2014?

Thanks everyone for the efforts!

did the floor configuration change? I have a '13 and there is no storage below the "carpet". In fact, the entire drop in the trunk is "carpeted" and for mine is part of the space, there is nothing to open up into like the first pic.

I think you don't have the flat load floor option. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=03_1544

alternative?

Hey all, wondering if this setup will work. It is basically exactly what has already been described, but, using a different adapter. I found this on ebay which is about 50% less than the one sold by tdn https://www.ebay.com/itm/13244247543...=true#rpdCntId

for comparison here is the tdn one http://www.tdnparts.com/spare-tire-adapter-kit/

Not sure what’s up with tdnparts at the moment (website down or closed for business) but would thus be a decent replacement adapter? Trying to get my 14 CMS all4 off the run flats but first want to get this spare tire and related parts sourced.

Late to the party

I am a little late to the party. Has this setup been perfected? I have a 2016 without run flats and will be driving long distances for work in a few weeks. Any help in making this as easy as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know the specs on the adapter? The TDN site link no longer works. I get that it is a 5x120 to 5x112 but not sure about thickness. Help! Everything else has been ordered for the kit.

Not only is TDN down for the count, but The Dubnutz is closed as well. Here's the page pulled from the internet archive - https://web.archive.org/web/20161106...re-adapter-kit

Unfortunately I have no idea where Dubnutz sourced the kit. If you could find them, they might tell you.

Wow, that kit is exactly what I needed! Anyways, I have the Mercedes spare, the countryman jack and now I'm just lacking the adapter. I'm thinking about ordering the 22cm version 5x120 to 5x112 wheel adapters with a 14x1.25 lug stud conversion kit at http://adaptitusa.com/5-x-120-to-5-x...l-adapter.aspx

Anybody use this adapter from adaptitusa yet? Or have any other suggestions? Sad that the TDN adapter is no longer available.

The archive link to the TDN adapter really helped, but I'm worried about buying an untested piece.

Seems like I need that Mercedes tire, this 5x120 to 5x112 adapter, and an air pump to make this all work, right? Anything else? Thanks for the advice!

Is anyone here selling a TDN adapter or similar compatible spacer? Or know of a compatible alternative? Unfortunately, TDN went out of business a few years ago.
