Seems like most manufacturers recommend offset at 45, but 40 looks nicer. Any risk of rubbing etc with offset 40? Thanks for info. I'm shopping for wheels and so far that look(fitment) is my favorite...

Depends how low you go, but I would expect some rubbing if you go real low with that setup. You would have to run a fairly aggressive camber, and even then you will likely rub.

I agree it looks good.

Glad I read through this thread, I was gettting bumbed about my wheel options. I have been looking to switch my 17 stocks with some 18's. I came across these Beyern Spartans:
http://www.beyernwheels.com/BMW_whee...rn_spartan.php

But all the car configurators suggested they wouldnt fit, and I have been trying to find some runner ups. Looking at TSW's and others that look close to the Spartans.

After reading through this post though, I feel more confident the Spartans would work!! Just to be certain though, I figured I would confirm with you guys.

18 x 8.5 40 ?

Do 18 x 9.5 35 offset if you're not lowering it...nice deep look!

Maybe a 265/45 tire? Wide as ah boot!!!

I wasnt planning on lowering it...for now The area I live in isnt friendly to lowered vehicles, plus when I hit up the bike trails or public shooting range (which is down a very long, very poorly maintained dirt road), I still want a bit of clearence.

I was going to try that offset calculator MotoGreg had posted earlier to compare your suggestion of 18 x 9.5 35, and tire size.

Does anyone know what the stock specs for width and offset? Or a link to where I can read it I am sure it depends on stock wheel choice, not sure if its listed somewhere.

I have VMR's V710 or V718 19x8.5 eta +45
245/40/R19 tires
NM Springs
Alta LCA's

Camber
RL: 1.65 (when I'm in the car it will hit the mark of 1.54 - 1.58)
RR: 1.56

And I still rubs when taking a dip. Thinking to buy another set of Control Arms and mount it in the upper set of the back and try to pull a little more of the tire to the car to see if that helps.

Also, I think the swaybar will also helps because I don't have the sport suspension on mine.

I attached few pictures of my tires.

Wheel Size Options

I get this pop-up using CarID.com, does this look like an accurate guide to anyone?
