I took my Maxima to NTB to buy and put new tires on the car... They broke a Stud and messed up the front brakes AND the tires wobbled. After much consideration, I took the car elsewhere and they said the tires were SO out of balance that after taking the weights off, they were BETTER. Had another garage fix the brakes.... Then I did a review on NTB. I will NEVER go into that place again. AND they will NEVER see my Mini! Thats a promise. And I have one 225 installed on my spare rim. Getting four more soon to replace the RFs. Yup, RFs have 3500 miles... If no body wants them, they will make the next BON fire

Quote: Willie keep me/us posted, I plan on doing this in another month or two, either going with the Conti DWS (had them on a previous car and just a great tire) or Nokian WR G2 (also a great tire I had before the Contis).
Will do. Just need to find a reputable shop around here first.

Willie and Judge...did you both get your 225/50's to work on the 17's? I see now Tirerack is listing that as an official Recommended Alternate tire size alternate for the Countryman (if you go through the pull down menus and select the 2011 Countryman All4, etc).

After excessively researching I may end up with the Dunlop Sp Wintersport 3D performance snow over the Blizzak WS 70 now for dryer road performance. The Dunlop only comes in the 225/50 size. I use Discount Tire and will continue to do so.

This has been a great thread. I've been trying to figure out how to replace my run flats but didn't know until today that I could fit 225 55 17 on the stock wheels. I'm in Tulsa and experience excessive heat in summer and plent of below freezing in winter. Can anyone recommend a particular tire?

Hi,
Does anyone knows if tire size 245/50/17 will fit 2012 MINI countrymanS(Original size 205/50/17 with original factory wheels)?
I checked out at Discountiresdirect.com, they listed 245/50/17 as a plus Zero(bigest size that you can go for wheel size 17) that will fit on MINI countrymanS but I just want to make sure with any expert out there that can help me to be sured that they will fit on my car without any issues before I order them,so please help!

Was wondering the same thing. What about 245 or 235 on an 18inch wheel??
